Besides the Samsung Galaxy S22 series, Samsung has also announced the Galaxy Tab S8 series, consisting of three tablets — Tab S8, Tab S8+, and Tab S8 Ultra.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 series packs a similar design language as its predecessor, but Samsung now uses a more durable armor aluminum for its body.
Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra
The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is the top of the line in the series, sporting a 14.6-inch WQXGA+ (2,960×1,848) Super AMOLED 120Hz display. Powering the tablet is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor with up to 16GB RAM and 512GB expandable storage. The tablet has a 13MP main camera and a 6MP ultra-wide camera in case you need to use it to take photos.
The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra packs an 11,200mAh battery that supports 45W Super Fast Charging 2.0, just like the S22 Ultra. The tablet runs One UI Tab 4.1 based on Android 12, which comes with better customizations and privacy controls. Like its predecessor, the S Pen comes inbox and it also supports the book cover keyboard.
Galaxy Tab S8 and Tab S8+
Next up in the Galaxy Tab S8 series are the Tab S8 and Tab S8+. Both devices are the same but in different sizes. The Tab S8 has an 11-inch WQXGA (2,560×1,600) LTPS 120Hz display, while the Tab S8+ has a 12.4-inch WQXGA+ (2,800×1,752) Super AMOLED 120Hz display. Both tablets also have different battery capacities — the Tab S8 has an 8,000mAh battery and the Tab S8+ has a 10,900mAh battery. Both support up to 45W Super Fast Charging 2.0.
The rest of the specs are the same — Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, 8GB RAM, up to 256GB expandable storage, 13MP wide and 6MP ultra-wide rear cameras, 12MP ultra-wide front camera, quad stereo speakers sound by AKG, Dolby Atmos, and One UI Tab 4.1 based on Android 12. Both models also come with bundled S Pen and support book cover keyboard.
In terms of color options, the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is available in Graphite only, while the Tab S8 and Tab S8+ are also available in Silver and Pink Gold.
