OnePlus announced the 7T last month, which offers a 90Hz screen at a slightly smaller form factor. The 7T is more like the successor to the 7. So what about the 7 Pro? Well, the OnePlus 7T Pro has just been officially announced, together with the McLaren Edition.
In terms of specs and design, the 7T Pro is quite similar to the 7 Pro, though this time it only comes in one color option — Haze Blue. Yup, it’s different than the 7 Pro’s Nebula Blue. The phone still has the same 6.67-inch QHD+ AMOLED 90Hz Fluid Display.
Like the 7T, the 7T Pro packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ processor with 8GB RAM and 256GB UFS 3.0 storage. As for its camera, it’s the same as the 7T — 48MP f/1.6 Sony IMX586 + 12MP 2x telephoto lens + 16MP 117° ultra-wide lens. The phone also supports Macro Mode, which lets you capture the subject with a focus distance of 2.5cm. Selfie wise, there’s a 16MP f/2.0 front-facing shooter.
The 7T Pro has a 4,085mAh battery with Warp Charge 30T supported, which is capable of a ~68% charge in just 30 minutes. It runs on OxygenOS 10 based on Android 10 out of the box.
For the McLaren Edition, the main difference is the McLaren-themed color scheme (Papaya Orange), UI skin, Alcantara protective case, and packaging. It also comes with 12GB RAM instead of default 8GB, but the storage remains the same at 256GB.
Unfortunately, there’s no news about the official availability and pricing of these phones in Malaysia, even the regular 7T. We’ll keep you posted once we got any news from OnePlus.
