A few days ago, we shared that the vivo V5Plus is available for pre-order. The company today has officially launched the device, which features a dual front camera.
The V5Plus sports a 5.5-inch Full HD display covered by a 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Powering the device is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor with 4GB RAM and 64GB non-expandable storage.
No doubt the device looks like an iPhone 7, especially when you look at its U-shaped antenna lines. The back features a metal aluminum unibody design, which currently available in gold color only.
The phone is marketed as a selfie smartphone and it has a dual front camera setup — 20MP Sony IMX376 primary camera + 8MP secondary unit, with soft light. The secondary camera is being used to collect depth-of-field information, which produces bokeh effect. As for its rear camera, there’s a 16MP unit.
The home button below the screen also doubles up as a fingerprint sensor, which is now clickable and will unlock your phone in just 0.2s.
Juicing up the device is a 3,610mAh battery, which comes with dual-engine fast charging feature. The device is running on Funtouch OS 3.0 based on Android Marshmallow.
The vivo V5Plus is priced at RM1,799 and will be available from 21st January 2017 nationwide in gold color. Those who purchase the device will also receive a mystery gift.
Bonus: Here’s an iPhone 7 and a V5Plus, both look similar?
