Designed for different lifestyles, the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 targets outdoor enthusiasts and athletes with rugged durability and professional sports tracking, while the Galaxy Watch9 focuses on everyday wellness, fitness and seamless Galaxy ecosystem integration.

Leading the lineup is the Galaxy Watch Ultra2, featuring Samsung’s largest-ever battery in a smartwatch at 800mAh, representing a 35% increase over its predecessor. The new fast charger is also capable of charging the watch to around 40% in just 30 minutes, allowing users to get back outdoors with minimal downtime.

Powering the smartwatch is the Snapdragon Wear Elite processor, making the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 the first smartwatch to adopt Qualcomm’s latest wearable platform. Samsung says the chipset delivers up to 32% faster CPU performance and a 19% improvement in GPU performance for smoother navigation, faster app launches and improved responsiveness.

The Galaxy Watch Ultra2 sports a 1.52-inch display with a peak brightness of up to 5,000 nits, ensuring excellent visibility even under direct sunlight. Measuring just 10.7mm thick, it is approximately 12% thinner than the previous generation while maintaining its rugged design.

Samsung has also introduced a new Computational Design approach alongside a titanium shock-resistant construction. The smartwatch continues to offer impressive durability with 10ATM water resistance, IP69K protection, EN13319 diving certification and MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability.

For fitness enthusiasts, the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 adds several professional-grade activity tracking features. Trail Run now includes route navigation, climb guidance, hydration alerts and checkpoint alerts to better support long-distance runners and trail athletes.

The smartwatch also introduces Ocean Diving features through Samsung’s partnership with Mares, while cyclists can benefit from direct sensor connections for power, cadence and speed monitoring.

Beyond sports tracking, Samsung continues to expand its wellness platform with Daily Cardio Load, Fitness Index, Vitals monitoring, Heart Health Score and Hearing Protection. Vitals combines heart rate variability (HRV), heart rate, blood oxygen, skin temperature and respiratory rate to provide an intelligent early-warning system for potential health changes.

Galaxy AI integration is also enhanced with Raise to Talk, allowing users to access Gemini or Bixby more naturally without manually activating the voice assistant.

The Galaxy Watch Ultra2 is available in Titanium Grey and Titanium Silver, with compatible watch bands including the Marine Band, Peakform Band, Trail Band, Sport Band, Misty Band and Fabric Band.

Alongside its premium sibling, Samsung has also introduced the Galaxy Watch9, designed with a sleek lightweight aluminium body for comfortable all-day wear.

The smartwatch is available in two sizes: 44mm and 40mm. The 44mm model features a 1.47-inch display with a resolution of 480 × 480, while the 40mm version offers a 1.34-inch display at 438 × 438. Both models deliver up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness for improved outdoor readability.

Powering both variants is the Snapdragon Wear Elite chipset, bringing flagship-level performance across Samsung’s mainstream smartwatch lineup.

The 44mm model houses a 445mAh battery, while the 40mm version is equipped with a 390mAh battery, providing reliable battery life for daily use.

Samsung continues to place a strong emphasis on proactive health monitoring with the Galaxy Watch9. The new Vitals feature continuously tracks heart rate, heart rate variability, blood oxygen, skin temperature, and respiratory rate to provide intelligent insights into users’ overall wellbeing.

The smartwatch also introduces Heart Health Score, helping users better understand their cardiovascular condition, alongside Daily Cardio Load for monitoring workout intensity and recovery, and Fitness Index for evaluating overall fitness progress.

Like the Galaxy Watch Ultra2, the Galaxy Watch9 also includes Hearing Protection and Raise to Talk support for Gemini and Bixby, making voice interactions more intuitive. Samsung’s On-Wrist Intelligence features further strengthen integration across the Galaxy ecosystem, allowing users to access information and connected experiences directly from their wrist.

The 44mm Galaxy Watch9 will be available in Graphite and Silver, while the 40mm model comes in Graphite and Cream. Users can also choose from the same range of interchangeable watch bands, including the Marine Band, Peakform Band, Trail Band, Sport Band, Misty Band and Fabric Band.
