Samsung has officially taken the wraps off its latest generation of foldable smartphones, introducing the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Flip8. Building on years of foldable innovation, the new lineup focuses on slimmer designs, upgraded performance, enhanced durability and deeper Galaxy AI integration through One UI 9 based on Android 17.

Leading the lineup is the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Samsung’s most premium foldable yet, while the Galaxy Z Fold8 offers a refreshed form factor aimed at users who prefer a more compact book-style foldable. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Flip8 continues to refine the clamshell experience with a larger cover display and improved portability.
Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra
The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra pushes Samsung’s foldable design even further, measuring just 4.1mm when unfolded and 8.9mm when folded while maintaining a weight of only 215g. Samsung has also widened the device by 20%, making it easier to hold, type, and multitask while improving the overall opening experience.
Durability also receives a major upgrade with the introduction of Flex Titanium Technology. By combining a titanium-alloy film with a titanium plate beneath the display, Samsung aims to improve structural strength while reducing the visibility of the display crease.
The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra features a 6.5-inch cover display alongside a spacious 8-inch main display that offers enough room to comfortably run two phone-sized apps side by side. Both displays deliver up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness, feature anti-reflective coatings for improved outdoor visibility and offer a crisp 422ppi pixel density.

Powering the flagship foldable is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy chipset, delivering flagship-level performance for productivity, gaming and Galaxy AI features.
Photography also receives a notable upgrade with a triple-camera setup consisting of a 200MP main camera, a new 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. Samsung also introduces support for the APV codec, giving users more flexibility for high-quality video recording.
Running One UI 9 based on Android 17, the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra introduces several new AI-powered software experiences, including Now Nudge on Multi Window for contextual suggestions while multitasking, Notification Nudge for smarter alerts, Ambient Nudge with support for third-party messaging apps, as well as new automation features designed to simplify everyday tasks.
Keeping everything powered is a 5,000mAh battery with support for 45W wired charging and 20W wireless charging.

The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra will be available in Violet Shadow, Graphite and Cream, with Green Shadow offered as an online-exclusive colour option.
Galaxy Z Fold8
For users looking for a more compact foldable experience, Samsung has also introduced the Galaxy Z Fold8 with an entirely new form factor.

The device features a 5.5-inch 16:10 cover display alongside a wider 7.6-inch 4:3 main display, both capable of reaching up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness for comfortable viewing in bright environments.
Despite its slimmer profile, the Galaxy Z Fold8 measures only 4.5mm when unfolded and 9.7mm when folded while weighing just 201g, making it one of Samsung’s lightest book-style foldables.
Like its Ultra sibling, the Galaxy Z Fold8 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy processor and runs One UI 9 based on Android 17.

The camera system consists of dual 50MP sensors, pairing a wide camera with an ultra-wide camera for versatile photography.
Samsung has also brought the same Galaxy AI features available on the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra to the Galaxy Z Fold8, allowing users to enjoy identical AI-powered productivity and multitasking capabilities.
A 4,800mAh battery powers the device, supported by 45W wired charging and 20W wireless charging.

Colour options include Lavender, Graphite and Cream, while Pistachio is available exclusively through Samsung’s online store.
Galaxy Z Flip8
Samsung has also refreshed its compact foldable with the introduction of the Galaxy Z Flip8, featuring an even slimmer and lighter design than its predecessor.
The Galaxy Z Flip8 measures just 6.1mm when unfolded compared to the previous generation’s 6.5mm profile, while its weight has been reduced to 180g from 188g.
A major highlight is the larger 4.1-inch FlexWindow cover display with ultra-slim 1.25mm bezels, complemented by a 6.9-inch main display for a more immersive viewing experience.
Powering the device is Samsung’s Exynos 2600 processor, paired with a dual-camera system consisting of a 50MP main camera and a 12MP ultra-wide camera.
Samsung also continues to expand the Flip series’ camera capabilities with FlexCam, Horizontal Lock and Auto Zoom, making it easier to capture hands-free photos and videos from different angles.
Running One UI 9 based on Android 17, the Galaxy Z Flip8 introduces AI FlexWindow alongside the latest Now Brief feature, allowing users to access useful information and AI-powered experiences directly from the cover screen.
The Galaxy Z Flip8 packs a 4,300mAh battery with support for 25W wired charging and 15W wireless charging.

The smartphone will be available in Pink, Graphite and Cream, while Mint joins the lineup as an online-exclusive colour option.
