Unboxing: Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra

Last month, Samsung announced the Galaxy S25 series at its own Galaxy Unpacked event. Today, we finally got the Galaxy S25 Ultra in Titanium Pinkgold, a Samsung.com exclusive color. Without further ado, let’s unbox the phone!

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra Specs

The Galaxy S25 Ultra comes in the same usual black thin box that Samsung has been using since the Galaxy S21 Ultra, but it is now noticeably thinner.

Open up the box you’ll see the phone itself, USB-C cable, SIM ejector tool, and some paperwork. It’s not something new as Samsung has not been including the power adapter for a few years and I’m okay with it since I have my own GaN charger to charge all my devices.

The Galaxy S25 Ultra sports a 6.9-inch QHD+ (3,120×1,440) Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a refresh rate ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz. It has a Corning Gorilla Armor 2 front and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 back, accompanied by a titanium frame.

The phone features more rounded edges and flat sides with slimmer and thinner bezels. It has smaller bezels than any other phone.

The bottom of the phone houses a slot for S Pen, which is not the BLE S Pen as it used to be. There’s also a speaker, USB-C port, microphone, and SIM slot. Samsung flipped the SIM ejector hole another way so you won’t accidentally poke the microphone.

The Galaxy S25 Ultra has new cameras in the quad-camera system: a 50MP ultra-wide lens that captures 4x better macro shots, a 200MP wide lens with OIS, a 50MP 5x telephoto lens that takes 12.5MP images with 4-in-1 pixel binning, and the same 10MP 3x telephoto lens. Samsung mentioned that it has more seamless lens-switching when recording a video.

The new cameras are aided by the next-generation ProVisual Engine which can capture less noise and more details. 10-bit HDR is the default video mode. Additionally, it also comes with the new Pro Video mode. You can now shoot Galaxy Log enabling precise color grading options for more professional video production. Samsung also introduces depth-of-field control with Virtual Aperture, integrated into the popular Expert RAW.

The Galaxy S25 Ultra runs on One UI 7 based on Android 15 with some new and improved Galaxy AI features. Galaxy AI will be free until the end of 2025 and it has features like AI Select, Circle to Search, Now Brief, Now Bar, Audio Eraser, and more. The Galaxy S25 Ultra is available in Titanium Silverblue, Titanium Whitesilver, Titanium Gray, and Titanium Black. There are also three Samsung.com exclusive colors: Titanium Pinkgold, Titanium Jetblack, and Titanium Jadegreen.
