Previewed at KLIMS 2026, Hyundai Motor Malaysia (HMY) has officially launched the new Hyundai STARGAZER in Malaysia, introducing a new MPV designed around the needs of modern families.
Positioned as “The WEhicle”, the new STARGAZER combines Hyundai’s distinctive design with flexible cabin space, smart technology, safety features and everyday convenience. The new MPV is designed to cater to different family needs, from daily school runs and commuting to longer journeys with multiple passengers.
Rather than focusing solely on passenger capacity, Hyundai has designed the STARGAZER’s cabin around how families use their vehicles on a daily basis. The MPV features flexible seating arrangements, additional storage spaces and convenience features designed to make everyday journeys easier.
These include a cargo floor box with a lid, seat-back tables and multiple USB ports. Depending on the variant, the STARGAZER can accommodate up to seven occupants, while the STARGAZER X features a six-seat configuration with captain seats.
The STARGAZER X also comes with a floating centre console with a detachable tray, providing additional flexibility and storage within the cabin.
For safety, the new Hyundai STARGAZER comes with Hyundai SmartSense, the company’s suite of advanced driver assistance technologies. Selected variants are equipped with ADAS 2.0 features including Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist and Lane Following Assist.
These features are designed to assist drivers in different driving conditions, from navigating busy urban roads to longer highway journeys.
The STARGAZER Prime is also equipped with six airbags, providing additional occupant protection.
Hyundai has also equipped the STARGAZER with features designed to improve passenger comfort. Roof-mounted rear air-conditioning vents help distribute cool air to the rear passengers, while selected variants feature dual 10.25-inch displays.
Other available features include wireless charging and an Electronic Parking Brake with Auto Hold, giving the cabin a more convenient and connected experience for both the driver and passengers.
In terms of design, the STARGAZER takes a different approach to the conventional MPV, featuring a more futuristic and expressive exterior aimed at modern family car buyers.
The STARGAZER X takes the design further with an SUV-inspired appearance. It comes with sportier front and rear bumpers, a sporty rear spoiler, black Hyundai emblems and black gloss alloy wheels. Its 2+2+2 seating configuration with captain chairs also provides a more spacious and premium cabin experience.
For the Malaysian market, the new Hyundai STARGAZER is available in three variants:
- STARGAZER Style – RM99,800: The entry-level variant comes with a seven-seat 2+3+2 seating layout, LED headlamps with H-signature daytime running lights, an 8-inch multimedia player, a 4.2-inch TFT LCD Meter Colour Cluster and 16-inch alloy wheels.
- STARGAZER Prime – RM109,800: The Prime variant adds dual 10.25-inch displays, Hyundai SmartSense advanced driver assistance technologies with ADAS 2.0 and six airbags.
- STARGAZER X – RM121,800: The range-topping variant features an SUV-inspired exterior design, 2+2+2 captain-chair configuration, full leatherette seats and Shift-By-Wire transmission control.
Hyundai Motor Malaysia is also offering an Early Bird Value Package priced at RM4,600 during the launch period. The package, which includes the RM88 booking fee, provides eight times or four years of free after-sales service.
The package also includes the RM1,000 All-Star Reward programme, with existing Hyundai owners eligible for an additional RM1,000 rebate when purchasing a new Hyundai STARGAZER.
For long-term ownership, new STARGAZER owners will receive an 8-year or 160,000km myHyundaiCare warranty programme.
Hyundai is also introducing the STARGAZER Resale Value Protection (RVP) Programme, which is designed to provide customers with a predetermined resale value when they upgrade to another Hyundai vehicle.
Under the programme, customers can choose to upgrade their vehicle based on the following terms:
- Third year: 70% resale value, up to 60,000km
- Fourth year: 60% resale value, up to 80,000km
- Fifth year: 50% resale value, up to 100,000km
The new Hyundai STARGAZER will be available for customers and their families to experience at Hyundai dealerships nationwide from 26 to 27 September. Visitors will be able to take the new MPV for a test drive while also taking part in various family-focused activities during the launch weekend.
