Hyundai Motor Malaysia (HMY) has taken the wraps off the all-new Hyundai STARGAZER at the Kuala Lumpur International Motor Show (KLIMS) 2026, giving Malaysians an early look at its upcoming family-focused MPV ahead of its official market launch. The new model is now open for booking and marks Hyundai’s entry into what it calls the “WEhicle” segment, a category designed around the needs of modern families.

Making its public debut at MITEC during KLIMS 2026, the Hyundai STARGAZER expands the brand’s local lineup beyond performance-oriented electric vehicles by introducing a practical people mover tailored for daily commuting, road trips, and family adventures. The preview also reflects Hyundai Motor Malaysia’s continued efforts to strengthen its presence in the country following its establishment as a direct subsidiary.
According to Hyundai Motor Malaysia Managing Director Jahabarnisa Haja Mohideen, the STARGAZER is more than just a vehicle, with the company positioning it as a smart and protective companion designed around the people travelling inside it. Hyundai says the model places strong emphasis on safety, technology, convenience, and comfort for every member of the family.

The Hyundai STARGAZER features a distinctive design that departs from traditional MPV styling, incorporating a sleek aerodynamic silhouette and Hyundai’s signature full-width H-shaped LED rear light bar. Hyundai is also showcasing the STARGAZER X at KLIMS 2026, an SUV-inspired variant that adds a sportier appearance through redesigned bumpers, a rear spoiler, overfenders, and blacked-out exterior badging.
Inside, the three-row cabin has been designed to maximise space and practicality while offering a more premium experience. Key features include a digital display measuring up to 10.25 inches, wireless smartphone charging, and integrated seat-back tables that enhance passenger comfort during longer journeys.
Powering the STARGAZER is a 1.5-litre Smartstream petrol engine paired with an Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT). Hyundai is also equipping the MPV with its SmartSense advanced driver assistance system (ADAS), which includes features such as Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go. Buyers will also benefit from an eight-year or 160,000km vehicle warranty.

Hyundai Motor Malaysia plans to offer the STARGAZER in three variants. Estimated pricing starts from RM99,XXX for the 7-seater Style, RM109,XXX for the 7-seater Prime, and RM121,XXX for the 6-seater STARGAZER X.
Visitors attending KLIMS 2026, which runs until 21 June at MITEC, can view the new STARGAZER up close, experience test drives, and place bookings at the Hyundai booth before the model officially arrives in showrooms.
