Huawei P20 and P20 Pro Officially Launched in Malaysia

Announced last week, the Huawei P20 and P20 Pro today made the official debut in Malaysia. Both phones sport a notched-display — 5.8-inch LCD (2,244 x 1,080 pixels) for P20 and 6.1-inch OLED (2,240 x 1,080 pixels) for P20 Pro.

The new advanced camera system will allow the user to catch more light, detail, and beauty of the object. The Huawei P20 and P20 Pro are installed with AI-driven professional photography and Huawei AIS (AI image stabilization). On the other hand, it comes with Kirin 970 processor (4 x Cortex-A73 [2.36GHz] + 4 x Cortex-A53 [1.8GHz] + i7 co-processor), which allows the user to use the phone smoothly without experiencing the delay. Both phones come with 128GB storage and run on EMUI 8.1 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. The P20 has 4GB RAM, while the P20 Pro has 6GB RAM.

There are a few differences between P20 and P20 Pro, the P20 comes with dual lens camera on its rear while P20 Pro comes with the tri-lens camera. The P20 has 12MP RGB + 20MP monochrome cameras, while the P20 Pro has 40MP RGB + 20MP monochrome + 8MP telephoto cameras. Additionally, both phones can record 720p@960fps super slow-mo videos. The battery capacity is slightly different where the P20 has 3,400mAh, while the P20 Pro has 4,000mAh.

Free gifts worth RM999 (Canon Pixma E3170 and sport Bluetooth earphones) will be given out to all customer if the customer purchase the P20 or the P20 Pro from 6th until 8th April. Both phones come in 4 colors: Black, Midnight Blue, Pink Gold, and Twilight (available at a later date). The actual price of the P20 is RM2,599, while the P20 Pro costs RM3,299.
