HUAWEI Launches MateBook 14s, nova 9, and WATCH GT 3 Series

As mentioned last week, HUAWEI has officially launched the MateBook 14s at its APAC Autumn Launch Event, together with the nova 9 and WATCH GT 3 Series smartwatches.

MateBook 14s

The HUAWEI MateBook 14s is a thin and light laptop that sports a 14.2-inch 2.5K LTPS touch display with a 90Hz refresh rate. Powering the laptop is the new 11th Gen Intel Core H-series processor with the integrated Intel Iris Xe Graphics.

The laptop comes with up to 1TB PCIe SSD storage and 16GB LPDDR4x RAM. It is also the very first laptop to be featured with the HUAWEI SOUND support and quad speakers with tweeters and woofers. As part of the HUAWEI ecosystem, the MateBook 14s is also equipped to perform Multi-Screen Collaboration with a wide range of HUAWEI devices.

In terms of I/O ports, the laptop comes with 2 USB-C ports (one of them is Thunderbolt 4), a USB 3.2 Gen1 port, an HDMI port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Just like other premium HUAWEI laptops, the MateBook 14s uses USB-C to charge its 60Wh battery.

The HUAWEI nova 9 is the successor to the nova 8, which just launched a couple of months ago. The phone sports a 6.57-inch Full HD+ OLED 120Hz display. Powering the phone is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage.

In terms of camera, the nova 9 has a quad-camera setup — 50MP main + 8MP ultra-wide + 2MP depth + 2MP macro. It has a 32MP front-facing camera for taking selfies. The phone runs on EMUI 12 and it packs a 4,300mAh battery with 66W HUAWEI SuperCharge.

WATCH GT 3 Series

The HUAWEI WATCH GT 3 Series features AI Running Coach and more than 100 workout modes. It comes with the new generation heart rate monitoring technology, providing an all-day accurate reading of heart rate monitoring, SpO2 monitoring, and skin temperature detection to help users monitor their health condition throughout the day. The latest HUAWEI smartwatch also has a long battery life which can be lasted up to 2 weeks when it is fully charged.

With stainless steel material and a rotating crown design, the premium ID design fitted with the HUAWEI WATCH 3 Series is compatible for any occasion such as formal business, exercises, or even urban adventurers. It is powered by HarmonyOS, supporting third-party applications.

Availability

Retailing from RM4,999 for the i5+512GB model and RM6,999 for the i7+1TB model, the HUAWEI MateBook 14s is now available for pre-order until 6 November 2021 on HUAWEI Store Online, Shopee, Lazada, or alternatively, you can shop easily through HUAWEI’s official app, My HUAWEI App.

Consumers will get to enjoy freebies total worth up to RM1,366 including a HUAWEI FreeBuds Pro, a HUAWEI Backpack, a HUAWEI Bluetooth Mouse, and a 1-year subscription to Microsoft Office 365 with the pre-order purchase of the HUAWEI MateBook 14s.

As for the nova 9 and WATCH GT 3 Series, both products are coming soon to Malaysia.
