HONOR has officially confirmed the upcoming launch of the HONOR X9e Pro in Malaysia, following the smartphone’s surprise appearance during the country’s National Day parade.
The new smartphone marks a significant addition to HONOR’s X Series as the first Pro model in the range. According to HONOR, the “e” in X9e represents “EXTREME”, reflecting the three key upgrades introduced with the new model — battery capacity, drop resistance and water resistance.
Three EXTREME Upgrades
The HONOR X9e Pro is designed around three main areas of endurance: EXTREME Massive Battery Capacity, EXTREME Armor-Tough Drop Resistance and EXTREME Ultra-Tough Water Resistance.
HONOR has teased what it claims could be the industry’s largest battery capacity for the HONOR X9e Pro. While the company has yet to reveal the exact battery capacity, it says the smartphone is designed to offer significantly longer battery life, allowing users to stay connected, productive and entertained for longer periods.
The company is also upgrading the phone’s durability. Building on the toughness associated with previous X Series models, the HONOR X9e Pro is said to offer improved protection against accidental drops and everyday impacts.
Water resistance is another area receiving an upgrade. HONOR says the X9e Pro features EXTREME Ultra-Tough Water Resistance, providing greater protection in more demanding conditions and additional peace of mind when the phone is exposed to water during everyday use.
New Purple Colourway
The HONOR X9e Pro also introduces a refreshed design, which Malaysians were able to see during its National Day parade appearance.
The smartphone will be available in a new purple colourway, complemented by light gold accents around the frame and rear camera rim. HONOR says the combination is intended to give the device a distinctive and premium finish.
With the three EXTREME upgrades, HONOR is positioning the X9e Pro as a more durable and endurance-focused addition to its X Series. The company says the new model continues the series’ focus on toughness while taking battery endurance, drop resistance and water protection further.
The HONOR X9e Pro will also strengthen the company’s X Series line-up in Malaysia, which HONOR describes as the country’s No. 1 best-selling mid-range smartphone series.
HONOR has yet to reveal the full specifications, pricing or availability details for the X9e Pro. More information is expected to be announced soon, with HONOR Malaysia directing users to its official Facebook page for further updates.
