HONOR View40 Goes Official with New Brand Strategy

HONOR recently has officially announced the HONOR View40 (a.k.a the V40 in China), which is the first HONOR device since HUAWEI had sold off the brand. In case you didn’t know, HUAWEI sold off HONOR to Shenzhen Zhixin New Information Technology Co., Ltd last year.

The HONOR View40 sports a 6.72-inch 10-bit (8+2-bit) OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 300Hz touch response. Powering the phone is a MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ processor with features such as GPU Turbo X and Hunter Boost optimizations for improved gaming performance.

In terms of camera, the HONOR View40 has a 50MP RYYB main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP macro camera on the back. Selfie wise, there’s a 16MP front-facing shooter.

The HONOR View40 packs a 4,000mAh battery that also supports 66W SuperCharge. It takes just 15 minutes to charge up to 60% capacity, and just 35 minutes to fully charge the HONOR View40. The device also supports 50W wireless charging, allowing users to achieve a 50% charge in just 30 minutes without any cables.

The HONOR View40 is currently available in mainland China. It is equipped with 8GB RAM and has storage variants of 128GB and 256GB, priced at RMB3,599 and RMB3,999, respectively.

HONOR’s New Brand Strategy

Additionally, HONOR also announced the company’s new brand strategy. The company will focus on three key pillars: All Scenarios, All Channels, and All People while continuing to embrace its “1+8+N” product strategy.

Based on global consumer needs, HONOR has the flexibility and independence to choose the best solutions for its global supply chain. HONOR has already confirmed partnerships with leading suppliers such as AMD, Intel, MediaTek, Micron Technology, Microsoft, Qualcomm, Samsung, SK hynix, and Sony.
