Following the official announcement at MWC 2024, HONOR Malaysia today officially launched three new Magic Series flagship smartphones — the HONOR Magic6 Pro, Porsche Design HONOR Magic V2 RSR, and Porsche Design HONOR Magic6 RSR.
HONOR Magic6 Pro
The Magic6 Pro is the company’s latest flagship phone. It introduces the next generation of what the company terms the Falcon Camera system. The triple-camera setup on the back features a 50MP main camera with variable aperture capabilities (f/1.4 and f/2.0, OIS), a 180MP tele-falcon camera with 2.5x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom, and a 50MP ultra-wide camera with autofocus. There’s also a 50MP front camera for taking selfies.
The Magic6 Pro sports a 6.8-inch LTPO OLED display with NanoCrystal Shield with 10 times greater shock absorption than regular glass. Powering the phone is the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage.
The HONOR Magic6 Pro packs a 5,600mAh battery that supports 80W wired and 66W wireless charging. The phone runs on MagicOS 8.0 based on Android 14. HONOR also promises 4 major OS updates and 5 years of security patches. Other features include 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, Infrared port, stereo speakers, and IP68 water and dust resistance. In terms of color options, the HONOR Magic6 Pro is available in Black and Epi Green.
Porsche Design HONOR Magic V2 RSR
The Porsche Design HONOR Magic V2 RSR is the special edition of the existing HONOR Magic V2, that was released in Malaysia earlier this year. It boasts a design reminiscent of a Porsche 911 hood, weighs only 234g, and is just 9.9mm thick. This makes it the thinnest and lightest inward-foldable phone in the world.
Its Super-Light Titanium Hinge adds both reliability and style. Adding to the phone’s innovative features is the industry’s first Anti-scratch NanoCrystal Shield, providing tenfold improved scratch resistance. With a hardness rating exceeding seven on the Mohs scale, the shield offers superior protection against damage.
The Porsche Design HONOR Magic V2 RSR runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipsets and a trio of cameras consisting of a 50MP main camera, a 20MP telephoto camera, and a 50MP ultra-wide camera. The foldable is equipped with a powerful 5,000mAh Silicon-Carbon Dual Battery that supports 66W HONOR Wired SuperCharge and comes with a stylus.
Porsche Design HONOR Magic6 RSR
The Porsche Design HONOR Magic6 RSR takes design inspiration from the Porsche Taycan. Available in Agate Grey and Frozen Berry colors, the device features a Super Dynamic HONOR Falcon Camera H9800 sensor and an improved 15EV dynamic range, six times more than the previous generation.
The phone also includes an industry-leading HONOR Anti-scratch NanoCrystal Shield on the front, made with silicon nitride, a strong material found in aerospace and automotive industries, ensuring long-term durability. The device also incorporates the HONOR NanoCrystal Shield at the back, boosting shock absorption by up to ten times to withstand accidental drops and increase durability.
The Porsche Design HONOR Magic6 RSR packs a 5,600mAh HONOR Second-generation Silicon-carbon Battery, and the Power Enhanced Chip HONOR E1 for durability and reliable performance even in low-temperature conditions. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and runs on MagicOS 8.0, based on Android 14.
Pricing and Availability
The HONOR Magic6 Pro (12GB RAM + 512GB storage) is available in Epi Green and Black, retailing at RM4,499. Pre-orders start today till March 27 with a deposit of RM66.
