Samsung Galaxy Note9 Officially Announced, Available for Pre-Order Now

The wait is over! The Samsung Galaxy Note9 has just officially announced in New York! As usual, the overall design of the company’s latest flagship is quite similar to its predecessor. However, that doesn’t mean the design is completely the same. For starter, the fingerprint sensor has been repositioned below the cameras.

Samsung has also made improvements on the S Pen. Besides having a catchy yellow paint job for the Ocean Blue Note9, it also comes with Bluetooth Low-Energy (BLE) support. With BLE support, you can now remap the button on the S Pen to perform a specific task such as taking selfies and more. Developers can even integrate the S Pen’s new, advanced BLE functionalities into their apps later this year.

The Galaxy Note9 sports a 6.4-inch Quad HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity Display with 516ppi pixel density. In fact, YouTube has also named it as a Signature Device for delivering the best-in-class YouTube experience. Powering the phone is the 10nm Exynos 9810 octa-core processor, which also supports Water Carbon Cooling system and on-device AI-based performance adjusting algorithm to deliver the powerful yet stable performance.

In terms of camera, the Note9 has the same dual-camera setup as the S9+ — 12MP F1.5/F2.4 wide-angle lens with OIS and Super Speed Dual Pixel + 12MP F2.4 telephoto lens with OIS. Selfie wise, there’s an 8MP AF front camera with F1.7 aperture.

Furthermore, the device packs a 4,000mAh battery with fast wireless charging and fast wired charging supports. It also comes with other features such as IP68 water and dust resistance and biometric security options including fingerprint scanning, iris scanning and facial recognition capabilities to keep important information safe.

Additionally, Samsung DeX is now even more easy to set up. All you need to do is connect the phone to TV with an HDMI cable and you are good to go.

The Samsung Galaxy Note9 will be available starting August 24th. Color options wise, the device comes in Midnight Black, Metallic Copper with matching S Pen, and Ocean Blue with a Yellow S Pen. Unfortunately, Malaysia won’t be getting the Lavender Purple variant.

The device is now available for pre-order until August 19th. Customers who pre-order 512GB Galaxy Note9 will receive a complimentary Gear Sport, Gear Sport Strap and Wireless Charger Pad worth RM1,531.
