Xiaomi 14 Series Officially Launched in Malaysia

Xiaomi officially launched its latest flagship smartphone lineup — Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Ultra, in Malaysia today. As one of the first markets in Southeast Asia to launch, the Xiaomi 14 series will be available in Malaysia starting March 8, at a starting price of RM3,499.

Xiaomi 14 Ultra

The Xiaomi 14 Ultra showcases a distinctive circular camera module with a streamlined flat back design and is available in Malaysia in two classic colors, Black and White.

The phone sports a 6.73-inch WQHD+ LTPO AMOLED display with up to 120Hz refresh rate. Powering the phone is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor with 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage.

In terms of cameras, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra comes with a quad-camera setup on the back — 50MP Leica 1-inch main camera with OIS + 50MP Leica telephoto camera with OIS + 50MP Leica periscope camera with OIS + 50MP Leica ultra-wide camera. There’s also a 32MP front camera for taking selfies.

The Xiaomi 14 Ultra packs a 5,000mAh battery with 90W wired HyperCharge and 80W wireless HyperCharge. The phone runs on Xiaomi’s latest HyperOS based on Android 14, a new experience to elevate system fluidity with advanced file and memory management capabilities, a revamped UI enriched by the graphics subsystem, seamless connectivity between devices, and comprehensive security and privacy features to secure your digital life.

Introduced alongside the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, Xiaomi 14 Ultra Photography Kit is designed for photography and videography enthusiasts, offering extended features in a dedicated grip and case. It includes a two-stage shutter button, a zoom lever, a customizable video recording button, and an additional custom dial. It also functions as an external charging battery bank, providing 1500mAh of battery life. This accessory is available for separate purchase.

The Xiaomi 14 is the vanilla model in the series, which sports a 6.36-inch 1.5K LTPO AMOLED display with up to 120Hz refresh rate. Powering the phone is also a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB UFS 4.0 storage.

In terms of cameras, the phone has a triple-camera setup on the back — 50MP Leica main camera with OIS + 50MP/32MP Leica telephoto camera + 50MP Leica ultra-wide camera. It also has a 32MP front-facing camera for taking selfies.

The Xiaomi 14 packs a 4,610mAh battery with 90W wired HyperCharge and 50W wireless HyperCharge. It also runs on Xiaomi’s latest HyperOS based on Android 14, which provides robust cross-device security and permission control, guaranteeing the utmost security for your private data.

Pricing & Availability

The Xiaomi 14 Ultra will be available in Malaysia from 22 March 2024, pricing at RM5,199, in Black and White colorways. The vanilla model is available starting tomorrow, priced at RM3,499 (12GB + 256GB) and RM3,799 (12GB + 512GB), which comes in Black, White, and Jade Green. Both variants will get four generations of Android OS upgrades and five years of security patches.

Additionally, Xiaomi also launched the new Smart Band 8 Pro (RM339), Xiaomi Watch S3 (RM699), and Xiaomi Watch 2 (RM869). From now till March 21, shoppers can enjoy a special early bird price, while stock lasts.
