POCOPHONE F1 Retails from RM1,237, Available on August 30

Xiaomi recently announced a new sub-brand, POCO, which is all about delivering performance that truly matters. The POCOPHONE F1 is its very first smartphone, which features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor with LiquidCool Technology cooling system.

In terms of memory and storage, the phone has 6GB RAM and up to 128GB UFS 2.1 storage. It has a 6.18-inch 18.7:9 Full HD+ display with a notch on top. The notch houses the earpiece, a 20MP front camera, an infrared illuminator and infrared camera, allowing you to use the face unlock feature in pitch-dark conditions as well as in bright daylight.

The phone has a 12MP + 5MP Dual Pixel AI dual-camera at the back. The main sensor features massive 1.4μm pixels, Dual Pixel Autofocus, and Multi-frame Noise Reduction. It is capable of capturing more light and producing high-quality images in low-light conditions while drastically improving focus speed and accuracy. It also comes with AI features like AI scene detection, AI portrait mode, and AI Beautify.

The F1 packs a 4,000mAh battery, which also supports QuickCharge 3.0. It runs on MIUI 9.6 based on Android Oreo. However, this version of MIUI has been deeply customized on F1 for a lighter, faster, and smoother experience.

Starting from 30th August 2018, the F1 will be available in 6GB + 64GB and 6GB + 128GB variants, pricing at RM1,237 and RM1,428, respectively. Both phones will be priced at RM1,299 and RM1,499 from 10th September onwards, due to SST implementation. The device will be available at Authorized Mi Stores and Lazada. Both versions will come in two colors, Graphite Black and Steel Blue.

To celebrate the release of POCOPHONE F1 in Malaysia, Xiaomi Malaysia will hold a special promotion at the new Mid Valley Authorised Mi Store on 30 August 2018. The first 200 customers to purchase POCOPHONE F1 will receive a free Mi Sports Bluetooth Earphones (RRP: RM93) and a game holder.
