Xiaomi Mi 9 Now Available in Malaysia

Xiaomi Malaysia has launched the Xiaomi Mi 9, the successor of the Mi 8, which is also touted as the company’s first triple-camera flagship. The phone comes equipped with an AI triple-camera, that can shoot high-resolution images with its main camera, with the assistance of an ultra-wide camera and a telephoto camera.

Powering this phone is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, that is optimized for a great balance between computing power and battery efficiency.

Unlike its predecessor, the Mi 9 features wireless charging capabilities with certification from TÜV Rheinland for safe quick charging.

Pricing and Availability

The Mi 9 will be available in two versions. Starting from 6th April 2019, The 6GB+64GB version will retail for RM1,699 and will be available exclusively on Lazada.

Starting from 13th April 2019, The 6GB+128GB version will retail for RM1,999 and will be available at Mi stores and as part of Maxis’ mobile plans. In addition, the first 1,000 customers to pre-order the 6GB+128GB version, exclusively at Mi stores, will receive a 20W Mi Wireless Charging Pad and 27W Power Adapter bundle (RRP: RM129) for free. Pre-orders of the 6GB+128GB version will be opened on 6th April 2019.

Currently, Mi 9 will be available in Piano Black and Ocean Blue for both versions. Lavender Violet will be available at a later date.

Starting from 13th April 2019, the 20W Mi Wireless Charging Pad will retail for RM129 and will be available on Lazada and Mi stores.
