Xiaomi has just officially announced the Mi 5s and its larger sibling, the Mi 5s Plus.
The Mi 5s features a unibody aluminum design, with a brushed metal finish and curved edges. The device sports a 5.15-inch Full HD IPS display with up to 600 nits of brightness and 95% NTSC color gamut.
Powering the device is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor with 3/4GB RAM and 64/128GB internal storage. The Mi 5s has a brand new ultrasonic fingerprint sensor on its front that uses Qualcomm Snapdragon Sense ID.
Camera wise, the Mi 5s has a 12MP Sony IMX378 sensor with f/2.0 aperture and PDAF. There’s also a 4MP front camera with 2μm large pixel and f/2.0 aperture.
Juicing up the device is a 3,200mAh battery that supports Quick Charge 3.0 via USB Type-C. The Mi 5s will be available in gray, silver, rose gold and gold.
The Mi 5s Plus is the larger sibling and pretty much similar to the regular Mi 5s. It sports a 5.7-inch Full HD display and dual-13MP camera on the back, one RGB sensor and one monochrome sensor.
Powering the Mi 5s Plus is the same Snapdragon 821 processor, however it comes with either 4GB RAM + 64GB storage or 6GB RAM + 128GB storage models.
The battery of the Mi 5s Plus is now bigger at 3,800mAh, and it supports Quick Charge 3.0 as well. It will be available in same four colors — gray, silver, rose gold and gold.
