Xiaomi Launched Redmi Note 9 Pro, Redmi Note 9, and Mi Note 10 Lite in Malaysia

Xiaomi just recently launched the Redmi Note 9 Pro and Redmi Note 9 in Malaysia. The Redmi Note Pro 9 was announced with a price tag of RM1,099, whereas the Note 9 will retail at RM649. Besides the Redmi series, the company also launched the Mi Note 10 Lite in Malaysia which will go for retail at RM1,599 from May 12, 2020.

The Redmi Note 9 Pro boasts an impressive quad-camera setup on the back, with a 64MP main lens that captures crisp, ultra-high-res images, an 8MP ultra-wide lens enables stunning large group images, 5MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, the Redmi Note 9 Pro has a 16MP in-display camera for high-quality selfies.

However, the Redmi Note 9 instead has a 48MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide lens, 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor for its main rear camera setup. The front in-display camera is 13MP.

Both the Redmi Note 9 Pro and Note 9 features cinematic portraits and video mode capture in a 2.39:1 ratio, which is a common format used in the film industry. Besides that, there are also six different kaleidoscope options, for quirky and eye-catching photos.

As for the batteries, the Note 9 Pro packs a large 5,020mAh battery that is capable to last for a day and offers 30W fast charging, which can charge up to 57% in just 30 minutes as claimed by Xiaomi. The Redmi Note 9 packs the same battery size (5,020mAh) but is capable of 18W fast charging.

Xiaomi’s DotDisplay is also featured on both the Note 9 Pro and the Note 9, stylishly packaged with no notches and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The sizes for the display for the Note 9 Pro and Note 9 are 6.67” and 6.53” respectively. The display is also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on both variants.

Main features aside, both phones also have multi-functional NFC, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and an IR blaster. These devices are also TÜV Rheinland low blue light certified and nano-coated for splash-proof protection.

The Mi Note 10 Lite still packs a ton of features even though it has undergone the “lite” treatment. It sports a 6.47” 3D curved AMOLED display with a curved glass back for a premium feel. It also features an in-screen fingerprint sensor.

The rear camera setup is a versatile 64MP quad-camera with an industry-leading Sony IMX686 sensor for quick snaps, dedicated sensors for ultra-wide photos, up-close macro shots, and mesmerizing portraits.

The Mi Note 10 Lite is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G Mobile Platform to provide an ultra-smooth experience with a huge 5,260mAh battery capable to last up to two days.

Price and Availability

The Redmi Note 9 Pro is available from May 18th in Xiaomi’s LazMall Flagship Store and Authorized Mi Stores in Malaysia with the 6GB+128GB variant retailing at RM1,099. It will come in three colors: Interstellar Grey, Tropical Green, and Glacier White.

As for Redmi Note 9, it will be available in two versions. Starting from May 18th, 3GB+64GB version (available exclusively on Mi Official Store via Shopee Mall) will retail for RM649 whereas the 4GB+128GB version (available at Authorized Mi Stores) will retail for RM749. Both versions will be available in three colors: Midnight Grey, Forest Green, and Polar White, at Mi Official Store via Shopee Mall and Authorized Mi Stores in Malaysia.

The Mi Note 10 Lite will be available from May 12th in Xiaomi’s LazMall Flagship Store and Authorized Mi Stores in Malaysia with the 8GB+128GB version retailing for RM1,599. It will be available in 3 colors: Glacier White, Midnight Black, and Nebula Purple.
