Xiaomi Introduces Redmi Note 9S, Retails from RM699

Xiaomi has officially unveiled the Redmi Note 9S, which is a new mid-ranger coming to Malaysia. Starting from 27th March 2020, the phone will be available in Malaysia starting from RM799 as well as flash sales at RM699.

The Redmi Note 9S sports a 6.67-inch Full HD+ DotDisplay, which also has a camera cutout on the screen. The display also offers TÜV Rheinland low blue light certification to ensure long-lasting eye comfort. Powering the phone is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB expandable storage.

Unlike other same-class smartphones, the Redmi Note 9S has a better build quality. It comes with splash-proof nano-coating and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on the front and back. It also features a Z-axis linear vibration motor which results in better haptic feedback compared to traditional motors.

The phone features a quad-camera setup on the back — 48MP main + 8MP ultra-wide + 5MP macro + 2MP depth. On the front, Redmi Note 9S sports a 16MP lens for its in-display selfie camera, minimizing front screen bezels without compromising camera quality.

The phone has a 5,020mAh battery, which supports 18W fast charging. It will soon be available both online and offline in two versions: 4GB+64GB and 6GB+128GB.

Retailed for RM799, the 4GB+64GB version will be first available as a Lazada online exclusive from 27th – 31st March 2020. From 1st April 2020, the 4GB+64GB version will be available at all channels, including Authorized Mi Stores in Malaysia.

In conjunction with Lazada’s 8th Birthday Sale promotion on 27th March 2020, the 4GB+64GB version of Redmi Note 9S will be available, through a special online click campaign, for RM699 as flash sales. The first round of flash sales will start in the first two hours of the promotion (12 AM-2 AM).

The 6GB+128GB version will retail for RM899. Pre-sale of the 6GB+128GB version will begin on 1st April 2020 and the first sale will kick off on 7th April 2020. The 6GB+128GB version will be available at all channels, including Authorized Mi Stores and e-commerce platforms in Malaysia. All the three colors Interstellar Grey, Aurora Blue, and Glacier White will soon be available for both versions.
