Xiaomi officially introduced the new Redmi Note 13 series in Malaysia, featuring the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G, Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G, Redmi Note 13 5G, and Redmi Note 13. The Redmi Note 13 Series will be available in Malaysia beginning January 20.
Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G
The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G is the top-of-the-line in the Redmi Note 13 series. It sports a 6.67-inch CrystalRes (1.5K) AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone is powered by a 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7200-Ultra processor with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB UFS 3.1 storage.
The phone packs a triple-camera setup on the back — 200MP main camera with OIS + 8MP ultra-wide camera + 2MP macro camera. It also features a 16MP front camera for taking selfies.
The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G has a 5,000mAh battery that supports 120W HyperCharge and runs on MIUI 14 based on Android 13. Other features include dual speakers with Dolby Atmos, IP68 water and dust resistance, IR Blaster, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.3.
Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G
The Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G is positioned below the Pro+, which has some minor changes in terms of specs. It still sports the same 6.67-inch CrystalRes (1.5K) AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Powering the phone is a 4nm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor with up to 12GB LPDDR4X RAM and 512GB UFS 2.2 storage.
The phone still has the same triple-camera setup on the back — 200MP main camera with OIS + 8MP ultra-wide camera + 2MP macro camera. It also features a 16MP front camera for taking selfies.
The Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G has a 5,100mAh battery that supports 67W turbo charging and runs on MIUI 14 based on Android 13. Other features include dual speakers with Dolby Atmos, IP54 water and dust resistance, IR Blaster, and Bluetooth 5.2.
Redmi Note 13 5G
The Redmi Note 13 5G is the entry-level 5G model in the Redmi Note 13 series. It sports a 6.67-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Powering the phone is a MediaTek Dimensity 6080 processor with up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB UFS 2.2 storage.
The phone has the same triple-camera setup, but the main camera is now a 108MP sensor without OIS. It still has a 16MP front camera for taking selfies.
The Redmi Note 13 5G has a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging. The phone runs on MIUI 14 based on Android 13 and comes with an IR Blaster and Bluetooth 5.3.
Redmi Note 13
As for the Redmi Note 13, it is the only non-5G model in the Redmi Note 13 series. The phone is quite similar to the 5G model, but it is powered by a Snapdragon 685 processor with up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB UFS 2.2 storage.
The Redmi Note 13 has the same triple-camera setup as the 5G model and the same battery capacity. It also runs on MIUI 14 based on Android 13 and comes with an IR Blaster and Bluetooth 5.1.
Redmi Watch 4, Redmi Buds 5 Pro, Redmi Buds 5
Besides the Redmi Note 13 series, Xiaomi also announced the Redmi Watch 4, Redmi Buds 5 Pro, and Redmi Buds 5. The Redmi Watch 4 is the company’s latest fitness-tracking watch that features a 1.97″ AMOLED display. It comes with an upgraded 4-channel PPG sensor for improved accuracy in heart rate and blood oxygen monitoring.
The Redmi Buds 5 Pro supports LDAC codec and features three ANC modes with up to 52dB ANC, an AI adaptive mode, and three additional transparency modes.
As for the Redmi Buds 5, it is a pair of affordable earbuds with up to 46dB ANC with three modes that cover a wide range of background noise. Additionally, three transparency modes allow users to hear more of what they want and less of what they don’t.
Price and Availability
From January 20, the Redmi Note 13 Series will be available for purchase at Authorized Xiaomi stores, and at official Xiaomi stores on Lazada and Shopee. The Redmi Watch 4, Redmi Buds 5 Pro, and Redmi Buds 5 are available for purchase starting from 16 January 2024.
Redmi Note 13 Series
Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G comes in Midnight Black, Moonlight White, and Aurora Purple, with two storage variants, with a starting price of RM1,599. Whereas, Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G comes in Midnight Black, Ocean Teal, and Aurora Purple, with one storage variant, priced at RM1,399.
Meanwhile, Redmi Note 13 5G comes in Graphite Black, Ocean Teal, and Arctic White with one storage variant, starting from RM1,099. Redmi Note 13 comes in Midnight Black, Mint Green, and Ocean Sunset, with two storage variants, starting from RM749.
Redmi Watch 4
Redmi Watch 4 comes in Silver Gray and Obsidian Black with matching straps at RM459.
Redmi Buds 5 Pro and Redmi Buds 5
Redmi Buds 5 Pro comes in Midnight Black, Moonlight White, and Aurora Purple at RM299. Whereas, the Redmi Buds 5 comes in Black, White, and Sky Blue at RM199.
