vivo X80 Series Officially Launched in Malaysia

vivo Malaysia has officially launched the vivo X80 series, featuring the X80 and X80 Pro, which are the company’s photography flagship devices. As expected, the main selling point of the vivo X80 series is its imaging capabilities in collaboration with ZEISS.

Powered by dual chips for professional imaging, the vivo X80 series features extensive upgrades that go beyond the unmatched mobile photography experience, and, for the first time, delivers cinematic style video modes in collaboration with ZEISS. The new ZEISS Cinematic Video Bokeh feature creates a powerful, oval flare bokeh with a 2.39:1 ratio, creating a widescreen cinematic lens effect that can capture highly aesthetic and expressive videos. Meanwhile, users can also create portrait videos with regular lens video bokeh in one tap. The bokeh effect varies to match the focal length, aperture, and shooting distance, and the flares are round, in a 16:9 regular frame.

The vivo X80 series adds ZEISS Cinematic Style Bokeh into its range of ZEISS Superb Portrait feature, enabling users to recreate classic Hollywood aesthetics by applying a film-like bokeh effect combined with artistic long oval flares. The overall effects can be enhanced with vivo cinematic lens simulation algorithm and a dual-camera depth-of-field technology that combines flare rendering and processing. The technology identifies the brightest point in the picture and elevates it with artistic blue light traits that resemble blue glares in movie lenses.

vivo maintains its outstanding night scene effects through the ZEISS Superb Night Camera. With upgraded features such as Pure Night View, the X80 series can capture city night scenes while retaining the authentic look and feel of the scene. In addition, the X80 Pro supports XDR Photo, which improves clarity for backlit images and tones that better reflect what the human eyes can see. Night scene performance remains top-notch, thanks to the exclusive ZEISS T* Coating available on all devices, which enhances light transmission to reduce night reflectivity and stray light.

To deliver the ultimate mobile photography experience, vivo’s X80 series also includes ZEISS Natural Colour aided by the series’ first AI Perception Engine to improve color accuracy and facilitate color changing and brightness during a shoot. ZEISS Natural Colour is an industry-leading hue shifting technology that reproduces natural colors. Coupled with the AI Perception Engine, it automatically optimizes both the accurate exposure and white balance for an authentic shot. This feature upgrade includes the ability to adjust tone brightness, capturing experiences that appear more life-like, refined, and natural.

The vivo X80 series is now available for pre-order at vivo Malaysia’s official E-store and vivo Malaysia’s official flagship store on Shopee and Lazada. The vivo X80 Pro is priced at RM4,999, while the vivo X80 is at RM3,499.

Customers who pre-ordered the X80 Pro from 8 to 13 May will be entitled to free gifts worth up to RM1,555, including a vivo 50W Vertical Wireless Flash Charger, 1-for-1 exchange guarantee within 100 days, phone case, and battery protection extended warranty.
