vivo Malaysia has unveiled the vivo V50, marking a significant leap in portrait photography and user experience. Featuring cutting-edge ZEISS Professional Portrait technology, the V50 elevates visual storytelling, allowing users to capture and share memories with unmatched style and clarity. Beyond its impressive camera capabilities, the V50 combines a sleek, modern design with a robust 6,000mAh BlueVolt Battery and ultra-fast 90W FlashCharge for long-lasting performance. Designed to deliver a smooth and versatile experience across various scenarios, the V50 sets a new standard with its enhanced performance and power efficiency.
The vivo V50 features a 6.77-inch Full HD+ display with a resolution of 2,392 x 1,080 pixels and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, available with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
For photography enthusiasts, the V50 boasts a rear camera system co-engineered with ZEISS, including a 50MP f/1.88 main camera with a 1/1.55” sensor and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), as well as a 50MP f/2.0 ultrawide lens. On the front, there’s a 50MP f/2.9 selfie camera. The device also incorporates vivo’s VCS Camera-Bionic Spectrum technology, which enhances image quality by replicating the human eye for more natural and accurate colors.
A standout feature is the upgraded AI Aura Light Portrait 2.0 ring flash, which uses AI to produce light approximately 143 times softer than a conventional flash. This ring flash can also double as a notification light. Additionally, the V50 introduces two cinematic portrait lighting styles—Rembrandt Lighting and Butterfly Lighting—to elevate portrait photography.
One of the key upgrades over its predecessor is the larger 6,000mAh battery, supported by vivo’s 90W FlashCharge technology for rapid charging. The device is also IP68/69 rated for water and dust resistance. On the software front, the V50 runs on Funtouch OS 15, based on Android 15.
