vivo, a company that brought many innovative techs to its devices over the years. We recently reviewed the X50 Pro, the first phone with the Gimbal Camera System. This time around, the company reveals its latest ongoing innovation — the colour-changing electrochromic glass.
Going with ‘Less is More’ philosophy, this new technology allows users to customize their smartphone by changing the color of its rear panel based on electrochromism, a phenomenon that allows the glass to change its color or opacity when voltage is applied to it.
vivo claims that this technology does not consume a lot of power and is unlikely to have much impact on a phone’s battery life while ensuring the glass changes color at a considerable number of times.
Once again, vivo managed to develop something extraordinary, hopefully we get to see this tech on vivo’s phone soon.
