Introduction
The UGREEN HiTune T1 wireless earbuds are the company’s latest wireless earbuds that feature 4 microphones (2 on each). I’ve been using it for a few weeks, and without further ado, it’s time for the full review!
Unboxing
In terms of package design, the HiTune T1 has a rectangular box this time around. Personally, I think that UGREEN is getting better in terms of designing the package. As usual, the box contains the earbuds in the charging crate, USB-C cable, user guide, and extra ear tips.
Design
The charging crate now has a more squarish shape with rounded edges. It has matte finishing but there’s only one LED indicator when you open up the charging crate, unlike the HiTune that I last reviewed. The LED indicator blinks in three situations:
- Ultra-low battery level: Below 5%, red LED blinks fast for 3 seconds
- Low battery level: Below 30%, red LED blinks slowly for 3 seconds
- Full battery level: Above 30%, white LED blinks slowly for 3 seconds
Behind the charging crate, there’s a USB-C port for charging. Yes, it’s good to have a USB-C port, so that I only need to carry one cable when I’m going anywhere, not that I can go anywhere at the moment though.
The earbuds have a pretty different design from what we used to see, a bit like the AirPods design approach, but in a slightly different shape. This is because each earbud has two microphones, the one at the bottom is used to pick up your voice, while the one above the touchpad is for noise-canceling.
User Experience
In terms of user experience, the UGREEN HiTune T1 wireless earbuds don’t have a dedicated app for customizations. You can control the earbuds as below:
- Music playback
- Single Tap: Play/Pause
- Left Triple Tap: Previous Track
- Right Triple Tap: Next Track
- Left Double Tap: Volume Down
- Right Double Tap: Volume Up
- Making Calls
- Single Tap: Answer/End a Call
- Long-Press for 2 Seconds: Reject a Call
- EQ Switch: Long-Press Right Earbud for 2 Seconds
This time around, you can switch between Normal mode or SuperBass mode by holding the right earbud touchpad for 2 seconds until a voice prompt of “Dong”.
Audio Quality
The earbuds have 6mm dynamic speakers and noise isolation deliver clear and flawless in-ear call quality. Nope, it doesn’t come with Qualcomm aptX audio technology. In terms of audio quality, the earbuds come with two modes — Normal and SuperBass. Switching to SuperBass mode will definitely increase the bass, but that might not be a good thing if you are listening to pop songs. Personally, I listen to music with Normal mode all the time, since it actually has enough bass. Average consumers will be satisfied with how the earbuds sound, but if you are an above-average person in music, you’ll know why it’s worth paying more for better earbuds.
Battery Life
The UGREEN HiTune T1 wireless earbuds are said to have 5.5 hours of battery life on a single charge and 24 hours with the charging case. I was able to get around 5.5 hours of battery life at a comfortable volume on a single charge. Nope, 5 hours of battery life wasn’t good when it comes to earbuds, the one I reviewed previously lasted longer.

Currently retailing at RM139.99, the UGREEN HiTune T1 wireless earbuds are now available on UGREEN’s official Shopee store. Obviously, these are a pair of earbuds for those who are looking for affordable wireless earbuds. If you care about audio quality, it’s better for you to look for a more expensive option. Don’t get me wrong, the UGREEN HiTune T1 wireless earbuds are actually good enough. Nevertheless, it’s good that these earbuds are IPX5-rated water-resistant protecting from sweat and splash.
