Through its collaboration with ATL, one of the world’s leading lithium-ion battery manufacturers, UGREEN aims to further strengthen its upstream supply chain by adopting high-quality battery cells that comply with the latest safety standards. The partnership combines ATL’s battery cell technology with UGREEN’s system-level engineering expertise to improve overall consistency, reliability, and safety across its portable charging products.

The company also revealed that it contributed industry expertise and practical insights during the formulation of China’s new GB 47372-2026 power bank safety specification, reinforcing its involvement in advancing industry-wide charging safety standards.

To support stricter safety requirements, UGREEN has implemented a comprehensive five-part safety system across its products:

  • Traceability system – A Manufacturing Execution System (MES) enables end-to-end digital tracking, including parameter monitoring, process validation, and production yield management.
  • Automated manufacturing – Key manufacturing processes such as cell matching, welding, dispensing, and testing are fully automated to improve consistency while reducing human error.
  • Unique serial identification – Every product includes a traceable identification code containing details such as production date, manufacturing facility, and battery cell information.
  • Battery cell testing – UGREEN conducts rigorous testing procedures, including nail penetration, lithium plating, and compression tests, in compliance with GB 47372-2026 requirements.
  • Monitoring and alert system – A real-time monitoring platform continuously tracks battery cell performance, records abnormalities, and supports full lifecycle traceability alongside post-event analysis.

As charging technologies continue to evolve, UGREEN says it remains committed to enhancing product safety through technological innovation, closer supply chain collaboration, and stricter quality management practices. By combining advanced battery solutions with a comprehensive safety framework, the company aims to provide safer and more reliable charging experiences for users worldwide.
