Tineco Retains World’s No.1 Wet & Dry Vacuum Cleaner Brand Title for Four Consecutive Years

Tineco World's No. 1 in Wet & Dry Vacuum Cleaning

The smart home cleaning appliance market has become increasingly competitive over the past few years, with brands constantly introducing new technologies to make household cleaning faster and more convenient. Despite the growing competition, Tineco has managed to maintain its leadership position after being recognised as the world’s No.1 household wet & dry vacuum cleaner brand for the fourth consecutive year.

Tineco World's No. 1 in Wet & Dry Vacuum Cleaning

According to Euromonitor International, Tineco achieved the milestone based on global retail sales volume of household wet & dry vacuum cleaners between 2022 and 2025. The recognition also extends to regional markets, including Malaysia, further strengthening the company’s position in the smart floor care industry.

While many brands have entered the wet & dry floor cleaner segment in recent years, Tineco is one of the companies that helped establish the category. Founded in 1998, the company initially focused on vacuum cleaners before introducing what it describes as the world’s first smart vacuum in 2019. Since then, Tineco has expanded its portfolio beyond floor care to include intelligent home appliances for kitchens and personal care, although smart cleaning solutions remain at the heart of its business.

One of the reasons behind the company’s continued success is its emphasis on solving real-world cleaning challenges instead of simply adding new features. Throughout the years, Tineco has introduced several technologies that later became common across the floor care industry.

Among them is HyperStretch 180°, a lay-flat cleaning design that enables users to clean underneath beds, sofas and cabinets more easily without needing to move heavy furniture. The company also developed the iLoop Smart Sensor, which detects dirt levels in real time and automatically adjusts suction power, water flow and cleaning performance based on the condition of the floor.

Another notable innovation is the FlashDry self-cleaning system. Instead of requiring users to manually wash and dry the roller after every cleaning session, FlashDry helps clean and dry internal components automatically, reducing unpleasant odours while keeping the appliance ready for its next use.

According to Ling Leng, Global CEO of Tineco, the company has remained focused on meaningful innovation since its early years. Rather than introducing technology for the sake of marketing, the goal has always been to create products that solve genuine household cleaning problems while saving consumers both time and effort.

The company also reaffirmed its commitment to investing heavily in research and development to ensure future products continue delivering intelligent, practical and user-friendly cleaning experiences.

Tineco has also observed changing consumer expectations in markets such as Malaysia and Singapore. According to Arwen Zhu, Country Manager for Singapore and Malaysia, consumers today expect more than simply clean-looking floors. Hygiene has become an equally important consideration, particularly as families look for appliances capable of reducing bacteria while making home maintenance more convenient.

This shift has encouraged the company to continue refining technologies such as its HyperSteam cleaning system, which combines steam cleaning with intelligent floor washing to tackle stubborn dirt while supporting a more hygienic cleaning environment.

Today, Tineco products are available in approximately 30 countries and regions worldwide and are used by more than 24 million households. Beyond physical retail channels, the brand has also established a strong online presence, remaining the No.1 wet & dry floor cleaner brand on Amazon for three consecutive years across major markets including the United States, Canada, Australia, France, Italy and Japan.

Apart from strong sales performance, Tineco has also accumulated an impressive list of international awards over the years. The company currently ranks among the Top 50 companies in the iF Design Ranking 2022–2026, supported by 19 iF Design Award-winning projects.

Its products have also received recognition from the Good Housekeeping Cleaning Awards 2026, while additional innovations have been honoured during IFA 2025 and CES 2026. Meanwhile, the Tineco Carpet One Cruiser earned a place on TIME’s Best Inventions of 2025 list in the Household category for offering a more accessible approach to carpet cleaning.

Tineco Floor One S7 Stretch Steam

The company’s Floor One S7 Stretch Steam has also received TÜV certifications for bacteria elimination and pet-friendly cleaning, highlighting its ability to deliver a higher level of hygiene for everyday households.

Supporting these achievements is Tineco’s sizeable research and development division. The company currently employs around 1,600 R&D personnel dedicated to improving floor cleaning technologies. Their work spans multiple areas, including suction efficiency, battery optimisation, water management systems and drying performance.

Over the years, these efforts have resulted in an intellectual property portfolio consisting of 975 patents and 577 registered trademarks, reflecting the company’s long-term commitment to innovation.

The latest example of this development is the newly introduced Floor One S9 Artist Steam Pro, which serves as Tineco’s flagship smart floor cleaner.

The appliance introduces the company’s new 230°C HyperSteam technology, producing super-heated steam designed to loosen stubborn stains while supporting a more hygienic cleaning process. It also features ReverseScrub technology, where the brush roller rotates in the opposite direction to help lift embedded dirt more effectively than conventional cleaning methods.

To improve handling, Tineco has equipped the S9 Artist Steam Pro with SmoothDrive technology, allowing the cleaner to move more naturally across different floor surfaces while navigating around furniture with less effort.

Maintenance has also been simplified through the FlashDry self-cleaning system, which automatically cleans and dries the brush roller and internal components after use, reducing manual cleaning and helping extend the appliance’s lifespan.

Battery endurance is another highlight of the new flagship model. According to Tineco, the Floor One S9 Artist Steam Pro offers up to 110 minutes of runtime in Quiet Mode, up to 75 minutes in Auto Mode and up to 30 minutes in Steam Mode. The extended runtime makes it suitable for larger homes, allowing users to complete more cleaning tasks before needing to recharge the battery.

As smart home appliances continue evolving, consumer expectations are also becoming higher. Rather than competing solely through specifications, manufacturers are increasingly focusing on creating products that offer better convenience, improved hygiene and a more intuitive user experience.

For Tineco, its latest global recognition reflects nearly three decades of continuous development in smart floor care. By combining research-driven innovation, intelligent cleaning technologies and a growing global presence, the company aims to continue setting the benchmark for wet & dry floor cleaners while meeting the changing needs of households around the world.
