Malaysia finally has a physical Taobao store! Alibaba Group recently launched the country’s largest Taobao store, named Taobao Store by Lumahgo.
Partnering with MyTOWN Shopping Centre and Lumahgo New Retail Sdn Bhd, this 5,000 sq ft outlet is the closest expression of Alibaba’s New Retail technologies display in the country. It provides a unique shopping experience which blurs the line between online and offline commerce.
By merging both online and offline retail experience, consumers at the store can easily purchase a displayed product by scanning the QR code on the price tag, pick up the items from the store or arrange for delivery, and make the payment directly from the app. Selected items at the store can be picked up immediately, though.
The store will offer more than 1,000 products, such as mum-and-baby, electronics, beauty, home & living, and smart home appliances. The store is located at Ground Floor, MyTOWN Shopping Centre, just right next to KyoChon Restaurant.
