Just nearly one month after the Xperia XZ2 and XZ2 Compact launched in Malaysia, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium goes official.
The Xperia XZ2 Premium shares the same “Ambient Flow” design language as the XZ2. It sports a 5.8-inch 4K HDR display that’s 11% larger and 30% brighter than our previous 4K HDR display. Powering the phone is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor with 6GB RAM and 64GB expandable storage.
For the first time, the phone packs the new Motion Eye Dual camera — 19MP f/1.8 RGB + 12MP f/1.6 monochrome sensors. Like the XZ2, the phone is capable of shooting 960fps slow-mo video at HD or Full HD resolution. With the new dual-camera system and the AUBE fusion image signal processor, it can now shoot videos with the highest ISO 12,800 sensitivity and photos with the highest ISO 51,200 sensitivity. The first in a smartphone!
Additionally, the XZ2 Premium still features the same stereo speakers with Dynamic Vibration System. It is IP65/68 water resistant too. The phone has a 3,540mAh battery, which also supports Qnovo Adaptive Charging and QC 3.0.
Lastly, the phone runs on Android Oreo out of the box. The Xperia XZ2 Premium will be available globally from Summer 2018 in Chrome Black and Chrome Silver colors.
