Samsung Odyssey G8 G80HS and G80HF Bring 6K and 5K Clarity to Work and Gaming

Samsung is expanding its Odyssey gaming monitor lineup with two new models designed to cater to modern users who switch between productivity, creative work, entertainment, and gaming. The new Samsung Odyssey G8 G80HS and Odyssey G8 G80HF combine high-resolution displays with high refresh rates, offering flexibility across different types of content.

Samsung Odyssey G8 G80HS

Leading the new lineup is the 32-inch Odyssey G8 G80HS, Samsung’s first 6K gaming monitor. Its 6K resolution delivers a high level of detail and sharpness, making it suitable for tasks such as working with documents, managing multiple windows, editing visual content, and watching high-quality videos.

For gaming, the Odyssey G8 G80HS features Dual Mode, allowing users to switch between 6K resolution at 165Hz and 3K resolution at 330Hz. The former is suited to visually rich games where resolution and detail take priority, while the latter offers a higher refresh rate for fast-paced gameplay.

Samsung Odyssey G8 G80HF

The 27-inch Odyssey G8 G80HF, meanwhile, offers 5K resolution at up to 180Hz. It is designed as a more compact option for users looking for a high-resolution display for work, content creation, entertainment and gaming.

The monitor also supports Dual Mode, enabling users to switch from 5K at 180Hz to QHD at 360Hz. This allows the display to prioritise image detail for everyday use or smoother motion for fast-paced games.

Both models also feature Samsung’s HDR10+ Gaming technology, which dynamically optimises brightness and contrast. This helps reveal more detail in darker areas while maintaining highlights, resulting in greater depth and more vibrant visuals across games, entertainment and other content.

With the latest Odyssey G8 models, Samsung is positioning its high-end gaming monitors as versatile displays that can handle more than just gaming, allowing users to move between work, creativity, entertainment and play on a single screen.

Pricing & Availability

In Malaysia, the Samsung Odyssey G8 G80HS and G80HF are now available at a promotional price of RM4,699 and RM3,099, down from their RRP of RM6,299 and RM3,799. The offer is part of Samsung’s Online Merdeka Screen & Sound Upgrade Promotion, which runs from 1 August to 30 September 2026.
