The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE is the company’s latest FE series smartphone and also the latest addition to the Galaxy AI ecosystem. I was able to spend a few hours on the phone and here’s my first look at the phone.

The Galaxy S24 FE sports a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with Vision Booster. The display can run at 120Hz or 60Hz, unlike the S24 series which has an LTPO panel that can run from 1Hz to 120Hz. The bezels around the screen are also noticeably thicker than the S24 series.
The phone has an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. It also has an aluminum frame, Samsung didn’t mention it is an armor aluminum frame, so I believe that’s not the case. The front and rear glasses are still Corning Gorilla Glass Victus though.
In terms of cameras, the Galaxy S24 FE packs a triple-camera setup on the back — 50MP main + 8MP 3x telephoto + 12MP 123° ultra-wide lens. It also has a 10MP selfie camera. Overall, the camera hardware is the same as last year, but this time it has more processing power and the ProVisual engine at its back.
Powering the Galaxy S24 FE is the Exynos 2400e processor with 8GB RAM, which has a lower clock speed compared to the S24’s Exynos 2400 processor. It packs a 4,700mAh battery with 25W wired and 15W wireless charging. It is launching with Android 14 and OneUI 6.1 out of the box. Samsung also confirms that the phone will get 7 generations of OS upgrades and 7 years of security updates.
The S24 FE has full-fledged Galaxy AI features — from Circle to Search with Google to Interpreter and Live Translate, you get the same advanced AI experience as the Galaxy S24 series.
Available in four color options — Blue, Graphite, Gray, and Mint, the Galaxy S24 FE is now available for pre-order in Malaysia:

From now until 3 October, customers who pre-order their Galaxy S24 FE will be able to get an RM300 exclusive rebate automatically applied upon checkout on Samsung’s online store.
