The Samsung Galaxy S22 series was announced yesterday, featuring three devices — S22 Ultra, S22+, and S22. We’ve already covered our first look at the S22 Ultra, and here’s the first look at the phone that most people will be getting.

Both Samsung Galaxy S22 and S22+ are almost the same but in different form factors. The regular S22 has a 6.1-inch screen while the S22+ has a 6.6-inch screen. Both phones have the same Full HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, the refresh rate will adjust from 10Hz to 120Hz depending on what content the screen is showing.
The Samsung Galaxy S22 and S22+ look identical to their predecessors, but Samsung has made some minor improvements. For starters, the S22 now has a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ back instead of plastic. The chassis of both phones are now protected by the more durable armor aluminum, the Galaxy S22 now feels heavier than its predecessor.
Just like the S21 and S21+, both phones still feature the Contour Cut Camera design, but Samsung has upgraded the triple-camera setup on the back — 12MP ultra-wide + 50MP main with OIS + 10MP 3x telephoto with OIS. Samsung has also promised better low-light performance as both phones feature the big pixel sensor that enlarges pixels to pull in light while the Super Clear Glass dials down lens flare.
The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is now available for pre-order at Samsung Online Store, Shopee, and Lazada, in four color options — Phantom White, Pink Gold, Phantom Black, and Green.
