Samsung Malaysia has added a new member in the Galaxy J Series family — the Galaxy J7 Prime. The new Galaxy J7 Prime is the slightly improved version over the regular Galaxy J7, which has a higher resolution display, better front camera, more RAM and more storage.
The Galaxy J7 Prime now has a refined design with a curved back and real metal finish. The device sports a 5.5-inch Full HD TFT display, which is even sharper that the J7’s HD display. Powering the device is a 1.6GHz octa-core processor with 3GB RAM and 32GB expandable storage.
The device has the same 13MP f/1.9 rear camera, but the front-facing camera has been upgraded to an 8MP f/1.9 unit for a better selfie/wefie experience.
Juicing up the device is a 3,300mAh battery, and with battery life is even more maximised with the Ultra Data Saving Mode (UDS), which is capable of compressing data and restricting background apps from consuming unnecessary data.
The Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime is now available at a recommended retail price of RM1,199. The device is offered in two unique dual-tone color options — White/Gold and Black.
This is a part upgrade, part downgrade over the J7 (2016). The display is now FHD and carries twice the internal storage of J7 (2016) but NFC and removable battery are missing.
