Samsung Galaxy Fold Pre-Order Starts on October 9

After waiting for such a long time, the Samsung Galaxy Fold is finally coming to Malaysia! According to Samsung Malaysia, this foldable phone will be available for pre-order from October 9 onwards.

Unlike most smartphones nowadays, the Galaxy Fold has a foldable display. Its main display is a 7.3-inch QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED Infinity Flex display. Additionally, it also has a cover display, which is a 4.6-inch HD+ Super AMOLED screen with a 21:9 aspect ratio.

The device is powered by a 7nm 64-bit octa-core processor with 12GB RAM and 512GB UFS 3.0 non-expandable storage. It has a total of six cameras, three on the rear, two on the front, and one on the cover:

• Rear cameras: 16MP 123˚ ultra-wide + 12MP F1.5/F2.4 with OIS + 12MP 2x telephoto with OIS
• Front cameras: 10MP F2.2 + 8MP RGB depth F1.9
• Cover camera: 10MP F2.2

The device packs a 4,380mAh dual-battery that supports fast wired and wireless charging. It also supports Wireless PowerShare to charge other devices wirelessly. The device runs on Android 9 with the foldable UX, which also supports Samsung Pay.

The Galaxy Fold will be available for pre-order from October 9, retailing at RM8,388. To pre-order, customers will need to pay RM800 non-refundable deposit, then they get to choose the store to pick up the device from October 16 onwards.

Customers that purchase the Galaxy Fold will receive the Galaxy Fold Premier Service package that includes 24/7 Premium Careline, free On-site Pick-Up, and Delivery for Service Support within 12 months of purchase. There’s also the advantage of having access to Priority/Express Lane at Samsung Service Centre and 1-time Inner Screen Crack Replacement also within 12 months of purchase. The Galaxy Buds will also come in the box without any additional cost.
