Samsung has officially introduced the Galaxy A27 5G in Malaysia, bringing several meaningful upgrades to its popular Galaxy A series. Succeeding the Galaxy A26 5G, the new smartphone focuses on delivering a more immersive display, faster performance, enhanced AI-powered features, and long-term software support, making premium Galaxy experiences more accessible to a wider audience.

One of the biggest changes is the new 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-O display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Replacing the previous notch design with a punch-hole camera allows for a cleaner viewing experience, while slimmer and more symmetrical bezels help maximize screen space. Combined with its slim 7.8mm profile, the Galaxy A27 5G offers a modern look that remains comfortable to hold throughout the day.
Powering the device is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, delivering improved responsiveness for everyday tasks, multitasking, gaming, and media consumption. Samsung also highlights improved GPU performance and faster memory, enabling smoother graphics alongside better power efficiency.
Photography also receives an upgrade, particularly for selfies. The Galaxy A27 5G now features a new 12MP front-facing camera that captures a wider dynamic range and richer colours for more natural-looking selfies under various lighting conditions. At the rear, users will find a triple-camera setup consisting of a 50MP main camera with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS), a 5MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP macro camera.
Samsung continues expanding its Awesome Intelligence experience on the Galaxy A series by introducing several enhanced AI features. Circle to Search with Google now supports recognising multiple objects within a single image, allowing users to search for several items simultaneously and even virtually try on outfits directly from supported search results.
The upgraded Object Eraser delivers cleaner edits by removing unwanted objects more naturally, while Voice Transcription in the Voice Recorder app can now translate recordings as they are transcribed across 22 languages, making it easier to capture multilingual meetings and conversations.
Users can also choose between multiple AI assistants, including Google Gemini and Perplexity, while Samsung has further integrated AI across native Galaxy applications such as Gallery for a smoother everyday experience. Bixby has also evolved into a conversational device agent capable of understanding natural language commands to control settings and various phone functions.
Durability has also been improved with Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection to better resist everyday scratches and wear. The device is further protected by Samsung Knox Vault, offering hardware-based security for sensitive personal data. In addition, the Galaxy A27 5G carries an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance.
Samsung is committing to long-term software support by providing up to six generations of Android OS and One UI upgrades, alongside six years of security updates, helping extend the usable lifespan of the device.
The Galaxy A27 5G packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging and ships with Android 16 running One UI 8.5. Storage options include 6GB + 128GB, 8GB + 128GB, and 8GB + 256GB configurations, with microSD expansion support of up to 2TB.

In Malaysia, the Samsung Galaxy A27 5G is available in Black, Dark Blue, and Light Pink. The 8GB + 256GB variant is priced at RM1,499 but is currently offered at RM1,399 as part of the launch promotion, while the 8GB + 128GB model is priced at RM1,399 with a rebate price of RM1,299.
To celebrate the launch, Samsung is offering a Double Storage Upgrade worth up to RM100 together with a free phone case for purchases made before 21 July, while stocks last.
