Announced two months ago alongside with the P20 series, the Porsche Design Huawei Mate RS is finally coming to Malaysia!
The Mate RS sports a 6-inch AMOLED 2K 18:9 curved display. Unlike most phones nowadays, it is the world’s first smartphone with dual fingerprint scanner. There’s one on the back and another one under the screen.
Powering the device is the same Kirin 970 processor with 6GB RAM and 256GB storage. In terms of camera, it has the same Leica Triple Camera setup as the P20 Pro — an 8MP RGB f/2.4 telephoto lens + 40MP 1/1.7″ RGB sensor + 20MP f/1.6 monochrome sensor. Selfie wise, there’s a 24MP front camera that can also be used for Face Unlock.
Additionally, the phone also comes with IP67-rated water and dust resistance, Dual SLS (super linear system) speakers with Dolby Atmos, 4,000mAh battery with Huawei SuperCharge, wireless charging, and premium packaging.
The Porsche Design Huawei Mate RS will be available in Malaysia on 18th May at the price of RM6,999. Unfortunately, there’s only the black color option available as the red one is exclusive to China only.
