POCO has officially unveiled its latest performance-focused lineup, introducing the POCO X8 Pro Max, X8 Pro, and the eye-catching X8 Pro Iron Man Edition. With this launch, POCO is shifting its X Series into a more premium “X Pro Series” positioning, focusing heavily on flagship-level performance, endurance, and design.
POCO X8 Pro Max
Leading the lineup is the POCO X8 Pro Max, which pushes the boundaries with top-tier hardware. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s, built on a 3nm process, paired with up to 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. To keep thermals in check during intense workloads such as gaming or AI tasks, POCO integrates its 3D IceLoop Cooling System, ensuring sustained performance under pressure.
The device also stands out in terms of durability and design. It features a premium metal frame combined with a fiberglass back, along with integrated Dynamic RGB lighting that adds a gaming-inspired aesthetic. On top of that, it boasts a 5-star SGS Premium Performance Certification and industry-leading IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings, making it highly resistant to dust and water.
For visuals, the X8 Pro Max packs a large 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 3,500 nits peak brightness. It supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, delivering vibrant colors and deep contrast. Audio is equally impressive, with symmetrical stereo speakers, Hi-Res Audio certification, and Dolby Atmos support.
In the camera department, the device features a 50MP main sensor (Light Fusion 600) with OIS, paired with an 8MP ultra-wide camera, while a 20MP front camera handles selfies. Powering the entire setup is a massive 8,500mAh battery with 100W HyperCharge support, along with 27W wired reverse charging to top up other devices when needed.
On the software side, the phone runs on Xiaomi HyperOS 3, bringing AI-driven features such as Google Gemini, Circle to Search, and Xiaomi HyperConnect for ecosystem integration. Connectivity is also cutting-edge, with support for 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, and dual SIM, including eSIM.
POCO X8 Pro
Sitting just below the Max variant is the POCO X8 Pro, which still delivers a flagship-grade experience. It features a slightly smaller 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with the same 120Hz refresh rate and 3,500 nits peak brightness, along with HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support. The panel is also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i for added durability.
The X8 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500-Ultra, built on a 4nm process, and is paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. It also features the upgraded 3D Dual-layer IceLoop cooling system, along with WildBoost Optimization to enhance gaming performance.
Camera-wise, the device comes equipped with a 50MP Sony IMX882 main sensor with OIS, alongside an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 20MP selfie camera. It is backed by a 6,500mAh battery with 100W HyperCharge, capable of reaching a full charge in just 48 minutes. Similar to the Max variant, it also supports 27W wired reverse charging.
The phone also introduces additional smart features such as HyperIsland for activity tracking, Xiaomi HyperAI for writing and interpretation, and Xiaomi Offline Communication, which allows users to stay connected even in areas without network coverage.
POCO X8 Pro Iron Man Edition
For fans and collectors, POCO is also offering the X8 Pro Iron Man Edition, which retains the same specifications as the standard model but features a custom Iron Man-themed design with unique finishes and integrated dynamic RGB lighting in the camera module.
Availability
The POCO X8 Pro Series is now available in Malaysia. The POCO X8 Pro Max comes in White, Black, and Blue, while the POCO X8 Pro is offered in Black, White, and Mint Green. The special Iron Man Edition adds an extra layer of appeal for Marvel fans and collectors.
