OPPO Unveils Reno8 Series, Pad Air, and Enco Air2 Pro

OPPO today has officially announced the Reno8 series smartphones in Malaysia, consisting of the Reno8 and Reno8 Pro. Besides the new Reno8 series phones, the company also unveiled the Pad Air and Enco Air2 Pro.

Just like previous iterations, the Reno8 series comes with one regular model and one Pro model. Both phones have the same streamlined unibody design, which is quite similar to the Find X5 Pro we reviewed a couple of months ago. The Reno8 sports a 6.4-inch Full HD+ 90Hz AMOLED display, while the Pro model has a larger 6.7-inch Full HD+ 120Hz Flexible AMOLED display.

The Reno8 is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1300 processor, while the Pro model is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8100-MAX processor. The former has 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage, while the latter has 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage.

In terms of camera, the Reno8 series features an upgraded Dual Sony Flagship Sensors — the 32MP IMX709 for the front camera and the 50MP IMX766 for the rear camera. Both phones also have an 8MP 112° ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro camera on the back to complete the triple-camera setup.

Both phones pack a 4,500mAh battery and support 80W SUPERVOOC. They also run on ColorOS 12.1 based on Android 12 with features like Anti-peeping for Notifications, Require Password to Power Off, and Recent Tasks Protection.

The Pro model has dual speakers and an X-axis linear motor for haptic feedback. It also comes with the Prominent Binocular Camera Module and Ring Flashfeatured in its camera area.

The Reno8 5G and Reno8 Pro 5G are priced at RM2,399 and RM3,499 respectively. Pre-orders of the OPPO Reno8 series will begin from 21st July 2022 until 29th July 2022. OPPO Pad Air

The OPPO Pad Air is the first OPPO tablet to be available in Malaysia. It sports a 10.36-inch (2,000 x 1,200) IPS display with a 60Hz refresh rate and 120Hz touch sampling rate. Powering the tablet is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor with 4GB LPDDR4x RAM and up to 128GB UFS 2.2 storage.

The entire tablet is as light as 440g and its rear panel adopts the industry’s first 3D finishing technology and exclusive metal splicing design, putting the main design idea of thinness and beauty into reality.

The OPPO Pad Air comes in one color: Fog Grey. It will be available in 4GB+64GB at RM1,099 and 4GB+128GB at RM1,299. The pre-order will start from 21st July 2022 until 29th July 2022 and is online exclusive. The 4GB+64GB variant will be available on the OPPO Official Online Store and Shopee only, whereas the pre-order for the 4GB+128GB variant will be available for pre-order at OPPO Official Online Store, Shopee, and Lazada.

OPPO Enco Air2 Pro

The Enco Air2 Pro is the company’s latest true wireless noise canceling earbuds. Featuring a 12.4mm titanized diaphragm driver, wide sound fields, potent bass, crystal-clear vocals, and active noise cancellation (ANC), the earbuds are built to deliver a live concert-like experience to its users, as if they’re Diving into the Scene. The powerful earbuds come in a snazzy, refractive bubble case, ready to be at the center of attention anytime.

The OPPO Enco Air2 Pro is priced at RM349. It is available in two colors- grey and white.
