OPPO Find N Officially Announced

OPPO has finally announced its first foldable smartphone — the OPPO Find N, at its annual OPPO INNO DAY showcase. According to the company, the Find N is a result of four years of research and development and six generations of prototypes.

The OPPO Find N sports a 5.49-inch AMOLED outer display (1,972 x 988 px) with an 18:9 aspect ratio, which is wider than the Z Fold3‘s 25:9 outer display. Unfolding the phone will reveal the 7.1-inch LTPO AMOLED inner display (1,792 x 1,920 px) with an 8.4:9 aspect ratio and an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate, there’s also a hole-punch camera at the top left corner too.

The screen is a custom Serene Display that utilizes the Flexion Ultra Thin Glass, making it much more flexible. TUV-verified testing proved that there will still be “next to no crease” after 200,000 foldings.

The phone features the Flexion Hinge, which makes the crease 80% less noticeable, as well as eliminates the wedge-shaped gap when the phone is folded. The hinge also enables FlexForm Mode, which holds the two halves at any angle between 50º and 120º.

Powering the phone is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor with 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB UFS 3.1 storage. As usual, the phone also supports the regular split-screen multitasking feature.

The OPPO Find N packs a total of five cameras — three on the back and one selfie cam on each screen. The back features a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor (1/1.56”, 1.0µm pixels) + a 16MP ultra-wide camera (14mm, IMX481) + a 13 MP telephoto camera (52mm, S5K3M5).

The phone packs a 4,500mAh battery that supports 33W SuperVOOC wired and 15W AirVOOC wireless charging. The phone will be available in China starting from December 23. Sadly, OPPO doesn’t plan to launch the phone in other markets at the moment.
