OnePlus 9 Series Now Available in Malaysia

The OnePlus 9 series was announced a couple of months ago together with the OnePlus Watch. The wait is over! These products have finally arrived on our shores, first available online while the offline first sale will be on May 22.

As many of you know, the OnePlus 9 series comes with a camera system that Hasselblad helped develop, improving the color science of the phones.

The OnePlus 9 Pro is the flagship in the series, sporting a 6.7-inch QHD+ 120Hz Fluid AMOLED display with an LTPO panel. The OnePlus 9 has a smaller 6.55-inch Full HD+ 120Hz Fluid AMOLED flat display. Both phones are powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor with 12GB RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage, the only storage configuration available in Malaysia.

The 9 Pro has a quad-camera setup on the back — 48MP Sony IMX789 main with OIS + 50MP Sony IMX766 ultra-wide + 8MP 3.3x telephoto with OIS + 2MP monochrome camera. The regular OnePlus 9 has almost the same camera setup, basically minus the telephoto lens from the Pro model and the main camera is a 48MP Sony IMX689 sensor. Both phones have a 16MP front-facing camera for taking selfies.

Both phones pack a 4,500mAh battery with Warp Charge 65T wired charging and wireless charging, but only the 9 Pro supports 50W wireless charging.

As for the OnePlus Watch, it sports a 1.39-inch OLED display with 326ppi resolution. It offers features such as tracking for over 110 sporting activities, 5ATM + IP68 water and dust resistance, heart rate and blood oxygen saturation tracking, and sleep and stress monitoring. OnePlus claims that the watch up to two weeks of battery life and it also supports Warp Charge.
