The nubia A77 5G is now officially available in Malaysia, bringing 5G connectivity, a 120Hz display, and a range of AI-powered features to the mid-range smartphone segment. The new smartphone is powered by the Unisoc T8300 Ultimate processor and runs on Android 16, with the company positioning it as a device designed for everyday use.

The nubia A77 5G comes with a 6.75-inch HD+ waterdrop display with a 120Hz refresh rate, allowing for smoother scrolling and transitions when browsing, watching content, or using productivity apps. It also features Wet & Oily Hand Touch technology, which is designed to maintain touch responsiveness when the screen or user’s hands are wet or oily.
Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by a 6nm Unisoc T8300 Ultimate octa-core processor with clock speeds of up to 2.2GHz. It is paired with 6GB of RAM, with an additional 8GB available through Dynamic RAM, alongside 128GB of internal storage. Storage can also be expanded by up to 2TB using a microSD card.
nubia says the A77 5G has been certified by SGS for 50 Months Smooth Performance, with the certification intended to demonstrate its ability to maintain responsive performance over an extended period.

For photography, the smartphone features a 50MP AI dual-camera system on the rear and an 8MP front-facing camera. Its camera features include AI Scene Recognition, Super Night Shot, and Auto HDR. It also supports Multi-Camera Simultaneous Recording, allowing users to record footage from the front and rear cameras at the same time.
Powering the device is a 5,000mAh battery that is claimed to provide up to two days of usage on a single charge. It supports 22.5W fast charging, while Bypass Charging allows power to be supplied directly to the device during gaming sessions to help minimise heat generated by the battery.
The nubia A77 5G also includes several AI-based features aimed at everyday tasks. AI Translate assists with cross-language communication, while AI Memory lets users pinch the screen with three fingers to recognise, save and organise information. AI Social Publisher can automatically generate captions based on the mood of photos, and AI Smart Reply provides suggested responses for social conversations.
Other AI features include AI Wallpaper, which creates personalised wallpapers from text descriptions, as well as AI Noise Reduction and AI Clearcall for clearer voice calls. The smartphone also comes with Real-Time Scam Alerts, which uses AI to detect potentially fraudulent content in calls and SMS messages. Google’s Circle to Search is also supported, allowing users to search for items displayed on the screen without leaving the current app.
In terms of design, the nubia A77 5G features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and facial recognition for device security. It also carries an IP64 rating for dust and water protection. For Malaysia, the smartphone is offered exclusively in an Obsidian Black finish.
Connectivity options include 5G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC. The device also supports nubia LinkFree technology, which enables peer-to-peer calls and messaging in areas without cellular coverage. For productivity, Smart Phone Link allows the smartphone to synchronise with a PC.
Despite its modern connectivity features, nubia has retained a 3.5mm headphone jack alongside a USB Type-C port.

The nubia A77 5G is officially available in Malaysia from 13 August 2026 in a 6GB + 128GB configuration priced at RM1,099. It is available through Unifi Stores nationwide and online via the Unifi website, while Maxis will begin offering the device towards the end of August 2026.
