Nothing Phone (2) Officially Announced

The wait is over! Nothing has officially announced the new Nothing Phone (2), which brings improvements over its predecessor.

In terms of design, the Phone (2) looks quite identical to its predecessor, but it now has a rounded back for more comfortable handling. The Glyph interface on the back now gets updated with 11 segmented LED strips, that’s a total of 33 LED lighting zones. The top left LED now lets you assign specific apps for Essential Glyph notifications that will stay lit until you clear the notification from the notification menu. Nothing also opens up its Glyph interface SDK and API to developers.

The Nothing Phone (2) sports a 6.7-inch Full HD+ LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Powering the phone is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB internal storage.

The phone still features a dual-camera setup on the back — 50MP Sony IMX890 main with OIS + 50MP Samsung JN1 ultra-wide. It also has a 32MP Sony IMX615 front-facing camera for taking selfies.

The Nothing Phone (2) packs a 4,700mAh battery with 45W fast wired charging and 15W wireless charging. The phone runs on Nothing OS 2.0 based on Android 13.

In Malaysia, the Phone (2) is available in both white and dark gray, with two variants to choose from 12GB/256GB and 12GB/512GB. Price will be on the 14 July 2023 at the Malaysia launch event.
