New BMW M340i xDrive and 330e M Sport Launched in Malaysia

BMW Malaysia has unveiled two new models that are locally assembled in Malaysia — the BMW M340i xDrive and 330e M Sport. The M340i xDrive is also the first M Performance BMW to be locally assembled on Malaysian soil, whereas the 330e M Sport tries to balance between sporty driving dynamics and minimizing emissions and its carbon footprint.

The M340i xDrive is fitted with an inline-six that has 387hp and is capable of the century sprint in just 4.4 seconds. This was made possible with an upgraded chassis technology and the all-wheel-drive system providing the much-needed traction.

Since this is an M Performance 3 Series, there all multiple M Performance upgrades installed. These upgrades are the BMW M TwinPower Turbo technology, M Sport differential, Adaptive M Sport suspension including variable sport steering and M Sport brakes, and bespoke M exterior parts for an aggressive look and stance. The M340i xDrive is available in Alpine White, Black Sapphire, Sunset Orange, and Portimao Blue. The interior will feature Leather Vernasca upholstery in Black or Cognac, with black décor stitching. The BMW M340i xDrive is now available at selected BMW dealerships nationwide, retailing at RM402,354.13 (with Sales Tax Exemption).

The BMW 330e M Sport is fitted with BMW’s turbocharged TwinPower Turbo inline-4 engine paired with the latest eDrive technology, the 330e M Sport can reach a top speed of 230km/h and accelerate from 0-60 in just 5.9 seconds. Besides that, being a hybrid, the car can just consume a measly amount of 2.2 liters of fuel forever 100km traveled and emitting the only 50g of carbon emissions per kilometer of travel. Since it’s also an M Sport trim, the 330e M Sport is also fitted with M Sport Brakes and adaptive M Sport suspension, along with variable sports steering for sportier handling. The Aerodynamics package is also available as standard on this variant. The BMW 330e M Sport is available in Alpine White, Black Sapphire, Portimao Blue, Mineral Grey, and Sunset Orange; the interior could be complemented in a choice of either Black or Cognac Leather Vernasca upholstery with décor stitching in Black. There is a limited time offer on the extended hybrid battery warranty of up to 8 years or 160,000km for customers who purchase the car from now until 31st December 2020. The BMW 330e M Sport is now available at all authorized BMW dealerships nationwide, retailing at RM264,613.13 (with Sales Tax Exemption).
