CES 2022: MSI Unveils 12th Gen Intel H Series Gaming and Creator Laptops

MSI had unveiled several new gaming and creator laptops at CES 2022. All the laptops are equipped with the latest 12th Gen Intel H series processors, wearing MSI’s Metaverse-ready logo in conjunction with the launch of MSI Gameverse. MSI envisions that all its laptops should be VR capable as they view that these laptops could be a bridge to connect people to the Metaverse.

The flagship laptops will include the latest NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Mobile GPU as an option that has 16GB of GDDR6 VRAM and delivers higher performance than the desktop TITAN RTX. MSI claims that their new laptops will have a significant performance bump compared to the previous models, around up to 30% of the increase in CPU performance.

The new gaming laptops that were released are the Stealth GS77, Raider GE76/66, Vector GP76/66, Crosshair 15, and the Pulse GL76.

During MSI’s presentation about the new gaming laptops, it was mentioned that the Stealth GS77 will come with the latest 12th Gen Intel H series CPU and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Mobile GPU. Whereas the Raider GE will feature the latest 12th Gen Intel i9 CPU with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti instead. The other laptops were offered little to none about the specifications.

The Creator lineup also grew as the company now offers 17-inch Creator laptops. The Creator laptops also received an improvement of around 45% as they now feature a Vapor Chamber Cooler. MSI also added touch support for the MSI Pen, Calman verified True Pixel Display and collaboration with DTS for a richer audio experience.

The new Creator laptops that were released are the Creator Z17 and the Creator Z16P. MSI mentioned that the Creator Z17 is a CNC-milled chassis laptop that features a 16:10 display. The Creator Z17 also features a full-size UHS express card reader, which is vital for some content creators. It also offers support for the MSI Pen.

Besides that, the Creator Z16 flagship has been updated as the Creator Z16P. The Z16P features MSI’s latest vapor chamber cooling system, which shows greater cooling performance than the previous iteration.

Both the Creator Z17 and Creator Z16P utilize MSI’s True Pixel Technology that has a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut. Both laptops will come with the latest 12th Gen Intel H series CPU and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti mobile graphics.
