Lenovo has officially unveiled the Lenovo Tab Plus Gen 2, a new entertainment-focused tablet that builds on the strengths of its predecessor with upgraded audio, display, design, and AI capabilities. Designed for users who frequently switch between streaming, productivity, and leisure activities, the latest tablet aims to deliver a more immersive and flexible experience wherever they are.

According to Lenovo, modern entertainment is no longer confined to a single location, with users increasingly moving between work, travel, and downtime. The Tab Plus Gen 2 is designed to adapt to these changing lifestyles, offering a combination of premium multimedia features and versatile usability.

One of the biggest highlights of the tablet is its upgraded JBL-engineered nine-speaker Pro audio system, which is tuned with Dolby Atmos support. The enhanced setup is designed to provide richer sound, clearer dialogue, and deeper bass, whether users are watching movies, streaming content, or listening to music. Lenovo has also integrated Bluetooth speaker functionality, allowing the tablet to double as a standalone wireless speaker controlled directly from a smartphone. Dolby Audio processing is included as well, with dedicated Dynamic, Movie, and Music modes for different listening preferences.

The visual experience has also received a notable upgrade. The Lenovo Tab Plus Gen 2 features a larger 12.1-inch LCD display with a 2.5K resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels. The panel supports Dolby Vision and HDR10 content, while a 120Hz refresh rate ensures smoother scrolling and animations. For outdoor use, High Brightness Mode boosts screen brightness up to 800 nits to improve visibility under direct sunlight.
To improve versatility, Lenovo has equipped the tablet with a redesigned 360-degree rotating kickstand. The built-in stand supports both portrait and landscape orientations and can be adjusted into multiple positions, including lean, theatre, stand, and hanging modes. This allows the device to adapt to a variety of use cases, from watching videos in bed and following recipes in the kitchen to enjoying entertainment while travelling. A standby mode also enables the tablet to function as a digital photo frame when not actively in use.
Lenovo is also introducing several AI-powered features to enhance productivity and accessibility. AI Live Transcript supports real-time transcription and translation across more than 40 languages, making multilingual content easier to understand. Additional tools include Lenovo Smarter Reader for improved reading and content navigation, as well as AI Notes integrated into Lenovo Notepad for more efficient note-taking and organisation.
Powering the tablet is the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 octa-core processor paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. Users can further expand storage through a microSD card slot supporting up to 2TB. The device ships with Android 16 and Lenovo promises two major Android OS upgrades up to Android 18, alongside security updates through 2030.
Other specifications include an 8MP front camera, a 13MP rear camera, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity, and a large 10,200mAh battery. Lenovo claims the battery can deliver up to 15 hours of YouTube video streaming, while 45W fast charging support helps reduce downtime.

The Lenovo Tab Plus Gen 2 is compatible with optional accessories such as the Lenovo Tab Pen Plus, Lenovo Wireless Keyboard, Lenovo Sleeve Suite carrying sleeve, and Lenovo 68W USB-C Wall Charger.
Available in Celestial White, the Lenovo Tab Plus Gen 2 will be available at Lenovo Exclusive Stores across Malaysia starting September 2026, with prices beginning at RM2,099.
