Remember the Lenovo gaming phone? Well, the company has just announced its new flagship phone — the Lenovo Legion Phone Duel 2. Designed for gamers, the phone comes with features like the second-generation Advanced Technology Architecture (ATA 2.0), console controller-like trigger buttons, 16.8M possible RGB lighting color combinations, and Dual HaptiX.
The Lenovo Legion Phone Duel 2 sports a 6.92-inch Full HD+ AMOLED 8-bit HDR gaming display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 720Hz touch sampling rate. Powering the phone is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor with up to 18GB LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB UFS 3.1 storage.
In terms of the cooling system, the phone has an integrated, active, Twin Turbo-Fan cooling system to keep everything cooler for longer device gameplay. Its ATA 2.0 dual design allows the CPU to be placed in the middle keeping gamers’ hands away from any heat dissipation.
Additionally, the phone also comes with Octa-Trigger, eight virtual keys that offer players: four ultrasonic shoulder keys, two rear capacitance screen touchpoints, and two in-display force touchpoints. Players can now bind more actions, weapons, tools, or spells to get an edge in battle. The Dual HaptiX is basically dual X-axis haptic vibration linear motors that enable incredibly precise touch feedback, provide gamers a totally immersive sensory experience.
The phone has a 44MP pop-up camera with an ultra-wide 84-degree autofocus lens. It comes with precise background removal for you to broadcast wherever you are. Streamers can also tap into real-time overlays and effects, and even use virtual avatars for new personas to thrill friends and fans.
As for the rear cameras, the phone has a dual-camera setup — 64MP OmniVision OV64A main camera + 16MP 123° ultra-wide lens. Don’t expect it to have a flagship-level camera since this is a gaming phone.
The phone packs a 5,500mAh battery (2,750mAh x 2) that supports up to 90W quick charging if you buy its Turbo Charging brick and plug it into both USB-C ports. Lenovo claims that a full charge will only take just 30 minutes.
The Lenovo Legion Phone Duel 2 is available in Titanium White and Ultimate Black. It is expected to be available starting April 2021 in China (called Lenovo Legion Phone 2 Pro in China) and in select markets in the Asia Pacific and Europe in May 2021.
