Malaysia’s growing SUV market has a new contender as Jetour Malaysia officially introduced the all-new Jetour T1, a lifestyle-focused urban SUV that combines modern styling, intelligent technology and everyday practicality. The latest model expands the brand’s local SUV line-up while reinforcing its commitment to the Malaysian market through its expanding nationwide sales and service network.
Built around Jetour’s Travel+ philosophy, the T1 is designed for motorists looking for a versatile SUV that suits both daily commutes and weekend adventures. According to Jetour Malaysia Vice President Nicholas Ng, the introduction of the T1 represents another step in the company’s long-term growth strategy as it continues to strengthen its SUV portfolio to meet the evolving needs of Malaysian consumers.
The Jetour T1 features a contemporary yet rugged exterior with a curvy utilitarian design, highlighted by Storm-Eye LED headlamps, a bold front grille and sculpted bodywork. Riding on a monocoque platform with a 2,800mm wheelbase, the SUV aims to deliver a comfortable and refined driving experience while offering a spacious cabin for passengers. Buyers can choose from four exterior colours: Khaki White, Aviation Silver, Sand Gold and Carbon Black.
In Malaysia, the Jetour T1 is offered in two variants. The entry-level T1 1.5L TGDi 2WD is powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 170PS and 270Nm of torque, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. For those seeking more performance, the T1 2.0L TGDi XWD packs a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine delivering 245PS and 375Nm, complemented by an intelligent all-wheel-drive system for improved traction across different road and weather conditions.
Inside, both variants come equipped with a range of comfort and convenience features. Standard equipment includes a 10.3-inch digital instrument cluster, leatherette seats, a powered driver’s seat, ventilated front seats, ambient lighting, voice assistant, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, a 50W wireless charger, paddle shifters and seven USB ports. Practical touches such as rain-sensing front wipers and a powered tailgate are also included to make daily driving more convenient.
The T1 1.5L TGDi 2WD further comes with 18-inch Diamond-style alloy wheels, a 12.8-inch infotainment display and an eight-speaker sound system. Meanwhile, the flagship T1 2.0L TGDi XWD upgrades the experience with larger 19-inch Petal-style alloy wheels, a panoramic sunroof, a powered front passenger seat with leg rest, a larger 15.6-inch infotainment display and a nine-speaker Sony premium audio system.
Safety is another key focus of the new SUV. Both variants feature six SRS airbags, a panoramic view monitoring system and a full suite of Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). The Jetour T1 has also earned a five-star ASEAN NCAP safety rating with an overall score of 87.67 points, reflecting the brand’s emphasis on occupant protection and advanced safety technologies.
The all-new Jetour T1 is priced from RM129,800 for the 1.5L TGDi 2WD, while the 2.0L TGDi XWD is available from RM146,800 (Peninsular Malaysia, excluding registration, insurance and related fees). Buyers will also receive a seven-year or 150,000km vehicle warranty, a 10-year or 1,000,000km powertrain warranty, as well as five complimentary maintenance services.
The Jetour T1 is now available for viewing, test drives and bookings at all 43 authorised Jetour showrooms nationwide. As part of its launch promotion, the first 2,000 customers who register their vehicle will receive a RM2,000 rebate alongside financing rates starting from 1.68%, subject to terms and conditions.
