HUAWEI Spring 2022 Smart Office Launch: MateBook X Pro and More

At the HUAWEI Spring 2022 Smart Office Launch, HUAWEI Consumer Business Group announced the launch of seven new products, including its latest flagship laptop, its first all-in-one PC, a new 2-in-1 laptop, its first E-Ink tablet, a new HarmonyOS tablet, the company’s first-ever printer, and a new portable speaker.

The company has been focusing on building the Super Device concept for better collaboration between HUAWEI PCs, smartphones, tablets, and smart screens. HUAWEI has upped the level by enabling users to enjoy an efficient video conference after they connect a PC to a smart screen to form a Super Device. They can open up to three windows of a phone on the PC screen after the two devices are connected for multi-tasking. They can enjoy greater productivity with a Super Device formed by a PC and monitor. Or they can unleash their creativity with a Super Device that is made of a PC, tablet, and stylus.

HUAWEI MateBook X Pro

The 2022 MateBook X Pro is the company’s latest flagship laptop. It sports a 14.2-inch Real Colour FullView Display that features a 3.1K resolution, 92.5% ultra-high screen-to-body ratio, and the mean ∆E < 1 (typical value) in P3 and sRGB dual color gamut.

The MateBook X Pro also comes with a HUAWEI SOUND six-speaker system for a revolutionary immersive spatial sound experience. The Free Touch Gesture feature allows users to take screenshots, start screen recording, and adjust screen brightness and playback volume with simple gestures.

HUAWEI MateBook E

The MateBook E is the company’s first OLED attachable laptop, pretty similar to one device we reviewed recently. The device is very thin at 7.99mm and as light as 709g, making it a lightweight portable 2-in-1 laptop. As the first-ever HUAWEI laptop with an OLED Real Colour FullView Display, it features a cinematic wide color gamut, pro-grade color accuracy, and a peak screen brightness of up to 600 nits for a consistent experience, even when used under bright sunlight. The MateBook E also supports accessories like the HUAWEI M-Pencil (2nd generation) and HUAWEI Smart Magnetic Keyboard.

HUAWEI MateStation X

The MateStation X is the company’s first all-in-one desktop that features a minimalist aesthetic design with no visible ports on the back. With its unique dynamic hinge design, users can easily adjust the elevation angle of the screen with a single finger, allowing them to focus on efficient creation.

It features a 4K+ resolution display with color accuracy of ΔE ≤ 1. With a large 28.2-inch screen, the HUAWEI MateStation X has a narrow bezel design on four sides and a 92% screen-to-view ratio3, offering users a borderless view. It also has an anti-reflective layer and supports 10-point multi-touch for a premium viewing experience, while offering powerful performance and outstanding sound quality.

HUAWEI MatePad Paper

The MatePad Paper is the company’s first E-Ink tablet that features a 10.3-inch E-Ink FullView Display with an 86.3% screen-to-body ratio. When used together with a 2nd generation HUAWEI M-Pencil, the MatePad Paper supports multiple input methods such as handwriting, voice recording, and handwriting-to-text conversion. Other features such as Split-Screen Notes and Annotations4 bring smarter experiences to users.

As an E-Ink tablet powered by HarmonyOS 2, it brings greater convenience to users in multiple ways through connection and collaboration. Users can continue reading content from a phone or PC on a connected HUAWEI MatePad Paper for easier reading and to reduce eye strain. It can also work as an external storage drive for PCs, enabling two-way transmission of documents and e-books for greater convenience and productivity.

HUAWEI MatePad

The new HUAWEI MatePad boasts a 10.4-inch 2K FullView Display with an 84% screen-to-body ratio. The display is certified by TÜV Rheinland as low-blue-light and flicker-free. It also supports a Natural Tone feature, delivering eye protection for users.

Compatible with the HUAWEI M-Pencil (2nd generation), it supports functions such as HUAWEI Free Script, Annotations, and Take Snippet for more convenient note-taking.

The HUAWEI MatePad powered by HarmonyOS 2 can seamlessly connect to other Huawei devices, including a phone for drag and drop of files, and a PC for efficient work using Mirror Mode, Extend Mode, and Collaborate Mode.

HUAWEI PixLab X1

The PixLab X1 is HUAWEI’s first laser printer. It prints, scans, and copies, making it perfect for both homes and small offices. Functions like Pop-up Pairing, Tap to Print, and Remote Printing makes using the printer easy together with HUAWEI phones and tablets. The PixLab X1 is also the industry’s first printer to feature a toner cartridge drawer design for easy pigment replacement.

HUAWEI Sound Joy

The HUAWEI Sound Joy is the company’s first portable speaker co-engineered with Devialet, bringing stunning sound quality to users with its four-speaker-unit system. With an 8800 mAh battery, it offers great battery life, supporting 26 hours of continuous playback on a single charge. It comes with IP67-grade water and dust resistance, allowing users to enjoy an amazing acoustic experience outdoors. It is available in two colors — Obsidian Black and Spruce Green.
