Besides Mate X6, HUAWEI also launched the nova 13 series in Malaysia, consisting of three models: nova 13 Pro, nova 13, and nova 13i.
The nova 13 Pro sports a 6.76-inch 1.5K quad-curved LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Even though HUAWEI didn’t disclose the chipset of the phones, benchmark tests suggest that both nova 13 Pro and nova 13 run on Kirin 8000 chipset. The Pro model comes with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage, while the vanilla model has 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.
The nova 13 Pro comes with a triple-camera setup on the back: a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 12MP telephoto lens with OIS and 3x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. The phone also has two selfie cameras: a 60MP shooter and an 8MP snapper for close-up selfies.
The phone has a 5,000mAh battery with 100W charging. Additionally, the Pro model also features IP65 rating for water and dust resistance.
The nova 13 sports a flat 6.7-inch 1080p OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone gets the same camera setup as the Pro model apart from the telephoto lens and close-up selfie camera. It also has a 5,000mAh battery with 100W charging but without the IP65 rating.
Both Pro and vanilla models support 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and NFC. They both run on EMUI 14.2 and are equipped with under-display fingerprint scanners.
The nova 13i is the affordable variant in the series, featuring a 6.7-inch display, a 108MP camera, a 5,000mAh battery with 40W charging, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage.
