HUAWEI MatePad Pro 13.2″ Retails at RM4,999

Alongside its new Mate XT tri-fold foldable smartphone, HUAWEI has introduced the MatePad Pro 13.2″, its latest premium tablet. Serving as an update to last year’s model, it retains nearly identical specifications but features an upgraded camera system and faster charging capabilities.

As its name implies, the tablet boasts a 13.2-inch 2,880×1,920 OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,000 nits. While Huawei does not officially reveal the chipset, rumors suggest it could be powered by either the Kirin 9100 or Kirin 9020, paired with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The company also claims a 30% improvement in heat dissipation compared to its predecessor.

For imaging, the HUAWEI MatePad Pro 13.2 is equipped with a 50MP main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide lens on the rear, while the front houses a 16MP camera. It is powered by the same 10,100mAh battery as before but now supports significantly faster 100W charging.

Interestingly, while the tablet adds a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, it removes the 3D sensor for facial recognition. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2, and the device features a six-speaker setup for enhanced audio.

Priced at RM4,999, the HUAWEI MatePad Pro 13.2″ is available for purchase on HUAWEI’s Shopee and Lazada stores. Pre-order customers will receive complimentary gifts, including a magnetic keyboard and an M-Pencil.
